SERIES HISTORY
vs. Wellesley

• Babson is 29-17 all-time against the Blue in a series that dates back to 2005.
• The last six outcomes have been three doubleheader sweeps by the home team going back to 2022.
• The Blue's sweep of the Beavers in 2023 were the first two games in Wellesley since a Babson sweep back in 2018.
vs. Emerson
• Babson is 17-5 all-time against the Lions in a series that dates back to 2009.
• The Beavers have won 16 of their last 19 games against Emerson since 2015 but split the last two doubleheaders.
• Emerson's game two win over the Beavers in 2023 snapped Babson's seven-game winning streak over the Lions at Alumni Field.

LAST MEETING
vs. Wellesley
• Molly Hennessy '24 hit a walk-off single in game one and senior Athena Hadjipanayis drove in a pair of runs in game two as Babson recorded a pair of one-run victories over Wellesley on April 19, 2024 at Alumni Field.
Michaela Russell '24, sophomore Emily Walsh and senior Sara Moore all singled, recorded a stolen base and scored in the nightcap for the Beavers. Sophomore Katie Vlacich went the distance in the circle allowing two runs and scattering six hits in the win.
• Sophomore Anisa Rodriguez hit her first career homer and was one of six players to record a hit for the Blue. Classmate Jill Coglan gave up three runs on six hits to go along with three strikeouts over 6.0 innings in the setback.
vs. Emerson
• Cassidy Musco M'24, sophomore Charlotte Raymond and Walsh all finished with two hits apiece and graduate student Moira' O'Reilly struck out nine and gave up just one run as Babson took game one, 7-0, but Emerson bounced back to win game two, 6-1, to earn the split.
• Russell doubled and Hennessy, Musco and Raymond each singled for the Beavers, who were limited to just four hits in the nightcap.
• Claire Overton went 2-for-3 with a homer, a double, three RBI and two runs scored, while sophomore Caleigh Sheehan added a two-run double and struck out six in a complete-game effort in the circle.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (15-8, 6-4 NEWMAC) has split its last two doubleheaders including a non-conference split at Trinity on Wednesday, winning the opener 5-0 before falling in the nightcap, 5-2.
• Graduate student Cameron Whiteford recorded her fourth shutout of the season in game one, striking out four and scattering seven hits. First-year Maddy DeLong was 2-for-2 with her first career home run, a double and a season-high three RBI to lead the Babson offense and Moore went 3-for-4 with two runs scored. Hadjipanayis went 2-for-4 with a run scored in the loss in the nightcap.
• Pak (.493) is second in the NEWMAC in hitting with team-highs of 36 hits and 16 RBI, while Moore (.363) has 12 stolen bases and 19 runs scores. First-year Belle DiCampello (.324) has three doubles, a home run and 12 RBI and Walsh has a team-high six doubles, 10 RBI and 15 runs scored.
• Whiteford is 7-4 with a 1.97 ERA and 86 strikeouts in 71.0 innings pitched while O'Reilly is 4-3 with a 2.17 ERA and 61 K's in 48.1 innings in the circle. Vlacich is 4-1 with a 2.87 ERA and 36 strikeouts in 31.2 innings of work.

SCOUTING THE BLUE
• Wellesley (11-10-1, 6-4 NEWMAC) split a NEWMAC doubleheader at WPI on Tuesday, dropping the opener 2-1 before coming back to take the nightcap, 7-4 in eight innings, in Worcester.
• Junior Emeline Gaunce went 2-for-4 with two RBI, Rodriguez was 2-for-4 with one RBI, and sophomore Sarah Wicker had a double and an RBI. Gaunce delivered a two-run single in the eighth inning and first-year Ruijia Yang followed with an RBI single for the Blue, who rallied from a 3-0 first-inning deficit. Senior Lauren Young earned the win with seven innings of relief, allowing just one run on three hits and two walks while striking out four.
• Sophomore Alena Mulhern (.397) has 27 hits, including four doubles, along with 13 stolen bases and 24 runs scored. First-year Brynne Mellady (.379) and senior Charis Chung (.367) are key hitters for the Blue, and Yang (.349) has six doubles, three triples, 20 RBI and nine stolen bases. Rodriguez (.318) and Gaunce (.313) help Wellesley to a .311 team batting average.
• Wicker is 5-4 with a 1.46 ERA and 61 strikeouts in 67.1 innings, and Young is 5-2 with a 2.80 ERA and 25 Ks in 45 innings with two shutouts.

SCOUTING THE LIONS
• Emerson (14-8, 6-2 NEWMAC), which hosts Clark on Friday, brings a four-game winning streak into the weekend after back-to-back NEWMAC road sweeps at Salve Regina and Smith.
• Sheehan allowed just one run on four hits with eight strikeouts in the 5-1 game one win over Smith. Senior Grace Beaulieu and sophomore Riley Caiazza each had two hits and RBIs each in the win. Beaulieu collected three hits in the 8-3 win in game two, sophomore Izzi Shaffer had two hits and three RBI, first-year Avi Kuperman had two knocks and two RBI, and Sheehan finished with two hits and one RBI. Senior Jessica Gomez earned the win with four scoreless innings of relief, fanning three.
• Senior Sam Zannotti (.424) has 28 hits with three doubles, three triples, eight stolen bases and 16 runs scored. Gomez (.371) has 26 hits with a team-high seven doubles and two triples, and Caiazza (.333) has four extra-base hits and a team-high 14 RBI. Beaulieu (.273) has contributed four doubles, eight stolen bases, and 14 runs scored.
• Sheehan is 10-2 with a 1.96 ERA and 96 strikeouts in 71.1 innings with two shutouts. Gomez is 3-4 with a 3.71 ERA and 22 Ks in 39.1 innings and out shutout.

WHITEFORD NAMED NEWMAC PITCHER OF THE WEEK
• For the second time this season, Whiteford was named the NEWMAC Pitcher of the Week on Monday.
• Whiteford went 2-0 with a 1.00 ERA and a 0.71 WHIP to go along with 15 strikeouts in 14.0 innings over two starts for the Green and White.

A CHECK ON THE STANDINGS
• Emerson (6-2) enters the weekend atop the NEWMAC standings with a .750 winning percentage, a game ahead of MIT (5-3).
• Babson, Wellesley and Springfield are in a three-way tie for third with 6-4 conference records, with Wheaton and (5-5) and Coast Guard (3-3) in the hunt with .500 records.

BUSY BEAVERS
• Pak has five multi-hit outings in 10 games in April, batting .500 (16-32) in that span.
• Moore has hit safely in nine of 10 games this month with a .394 batting average and reached base in all 10.
• Whiteford has not allowed an earned run in her last three outings (0.00 ERA), giving up just one unearned run on 12 hits and seven walks in 21 innings, striking out 21.

CLIMBING THE CHARTS
• With four hits on Wednesday, Moore passed Jackie Enos '12 to move into third place program's all-time list with 191 hits while extending her hitting streak to eight games.
• Moore is also sixth on the all-time Babson list with 115 runs scored, one back of Jessica Barry '03 (116).
• O'Reilly ranks fourth among active players in all NCAA Divisions and second among Division III pitchers with 827 career strikeouts.

NUMBERS TO KNOW
• Babson is 13-1 this season when scoring at least three runs and 9-1 when allowing two runs or fewer.
• The Beavers are 10-0 this season when leading after five innings. 
• Babson is 13-2 on the year when recording more hits than its opponents. 
• The Geen and White are 11-2 when scoring the first run of the game.

• The Beavers will play a single non-conference game at No. 6 Tufts on Tuesday at 4 p.m. in Medford.
