SCOUTING THE LYONS
• Wheaton (19-7, 4-4 NEWMAC) has dropped three of it last four games and suffered 13-1 and 13-7 losses at MIT on Friday.
• Madi Miller drove in a pair of runs and Zito and Taylor Barry both went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored for the Lyons, who took a 4-3 lead in the fourth inning of game two but committed six errors in the loss.
• Zito is batting .443 with eight doubles, three triples, 16 RBI, 18 stolen bases and 31 runs scored, Ella Molinari is hitting .425 with 12 extra-base hits, 27 RBI and 20 runs scored, and Peyton Blakenheim-Brown boasts a .375 average to go along with eight doubles, two triples, two home runs, 24 RBI and 219 runs scored on the year.
• Blankenheim-Brown is 7-3 in 12 starts with a 1.67 ERA and 45 strikeouts against just eight walks in 67.0 innings, while Sofia De La Rosa has gone 9-4 with a 2.22 ERA and 88 strikeouts in 78.2 innings pitched this spring.
O'REILLY NAMED TO NFCA PITCHER AND PLAYER WATCHLIST
• O'Reilly was named to the 2025 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III Pitcher and Player of the Year Watchlist late last week.
• Recognized for the second consecutive season, O'Reilly was of 119 players from 10 regions named to the watchlist by the NFCA Division III All-America Committee.
• A 2024 NFCA All-America second-team selection and the three-time reigning NEWMAC Pitcher of the Year, O'Reilly is 65-26 with a 1.74 ERA in 605.2 innings over 103 career appearances. She ranks first in program history in wins (65) and shutouts (24) and is the active Division III leader with a program-record 821 strikeouts.
RECORD SETTERS
• Already the program's all-time leader in wins, strikeouts and shutouts, O'Reilly passed Ali Reilly's '18 mark of 600.2 innings pitched on Wednesday at MIT.
• Moore is the Beavers' all-time leader with 80 stolen bases and ranks fourth all-time behind Catie Funk '12 (231), Andrea Cartullo '07 (223) and Jackie Enos '12 (188) with 184 career hits.
HIT PARADE
• Pak leads the Green and White with eight multi-hit games on the year, while Moore has finished with at least two hits seven times.
• Sophomore
Emily Walsh is first on the squad with four multi-RBI games, while Moore and Madia have both contributed at least two runs batted in three times this spring.
SUCCESS IN THE CIRCLE
• Babson's pitchers enter Monday's doubleheader leading the NEWMAC in strikeouts (161) and batting average against (.211), and also are tied for second with five shutouts, which ranks only behind Wheaton's seven.
• O'Reilly (9.3), Whiteford (9.1) and Vlacich (8.5) all rank among the top five in the NEWMAC and top 35 in Division III in strikeouts per seven innings.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
• Babson is 12-2 on the year when recording more hits than its opponents.
