SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 33-38 all-time against Coast Guard in a series that dates back to 1991.
• The Beavers have won eight of their last 10 games against the Bears, which includes last year's split in Babson Park.
• Coast Guard's win in the nightcap in 2023 snapped a Babson nine-game winning streak at Nitchman Field going back to 2012.

Moira O'Reilly struck out 15 batters in a 4-1 win in the opener, but Coast Guard staged a four-run rally in the seventh inning of the nightcap to pull out a 4-3 triumph on March 30, 2024 at Alumni Field.

Michaela Russell M'24 also drove in a pair of runs in the opener for the Beavers. Sophomore
Emily Walsh went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two stolen bases, Russell was 2-for-2 with an RBI, a run scored and two stolen bases, and sophomore
Charlotte Raymond singled twice for Babson in the nightcap.
• Julia Breidenthal '24 went 2-for-3 with an RBI and Christine Carey '24 tripled and scored for the Bears in the game one loss. Lillia Farlow '24 doubled and drove in two runs, while Breidenthal was 2-for-3 with a run scored in game two for Coast Guard.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (8-3, 0-0 NEWMAC) concluded its spring break Florida trip with a three-game winning streak, capped by a 10-2, six-inning victory over McDaniel on March 21 in Leesburg.
• Senior
Sara Moore and Walsh each drove in three runs and O'Reilly recorded a season-high 11 strikeouts in the victory. Junior
Sophia Pak finished 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored, senior
Athena Hadjipanayis record two hits, including the 100th of her career, and graduate student
Cameron Whiteford walked and scored twice. O'Reilly picked up her first win by allowing just one earned run on four hits over 6.0 innings.
• Pak is batting .485 with a team-high 16 hits including a double, a triple and four walks for a .553 on-base percentage. Moore is hitting .342 with a triple, seven stolen bases, and 10 runs scored, first-year
Belle DiCampello (.333) and Walsh (.313) each have two doubles and have combined for 14 RBI, and Hadjipanayis is hitting .303 with eight runs scored.
• Whiteford is 4-1 (including a no-hitter) with a 2.80 ERA and 49 strikeouts in 30.0 inning pitched, while sophomore
Katie Vlacich is 3-0 with a 2.77 ERA and 22 strikeouts in 17.2 innings of work. O'Reilly has fanned 39 batters in just 23.0 innings.
SCOUTING THE BEARS
• Coast Guard (4-4, 0-0 NEWMAC) dropped a pair of games to Roger Williams, 3-1 and 8-0, in its home opener back on March 19.
• First-year Hayden Reilly had a double and junior Bridget Bartz hit an RBI single in the opener, the only two hits for the Bears, and Dana Walker gave up just three runs on five hits in the loss. Junior Maura Murphy and sophomores Abriana Schmutz and Mack Murnane had the only three hits for the Bears in the nightcap.
• First-year Lauren Ragonese is batting .478 with two doubles, a triple and six RBI, Murnane is hitting .391 and also has two doubles and a triple. Schmutz (.385) has a double and five RBI, Murphy (.364) has scored eight runs, and Reilly (.333) has two doubles, a triple, eight runs scored and six RBI.
• Walker is 4-1 with a 1.66 ERA with 45 strikeouts, working 38 of the team's 50 innings this spring. Reilly has not allowed an earned run in 6.1 innings, striking out two.
AT THE POLLS
• Babson was picked to finish second when the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) released its 2025 preseason coaches' poll prior to the season.
• Last year's tournament runner-up, the Beavers received one first-place vote and finished behind two-time defending champion MIT. Springfield, WPI and Wheaton rounded out the top five with Coast Guard in sixth.
QUICK START
• Babson is off to its best start to the season since the 2021 team won 15 of its first 16 games.
• The Beavers have made an improved start this year over last spring when they started 1-7 and returned from Florida with a 7-8 record.
BUSY BEAVERS
• DiCampello had a seven-game hitting streak in Florida, collected hits in nine of the 11 games, and reached base is all 11.
• Pak had at least one hit in nine of the 11 games and recorded five multi-hit games and a pair of three-knock outings.
• Moore had five multi-hit games and three multi-RBI games for the Beavers.
CLIMING THE CHARTS
• With 13 hits in Florida, Moore has climbed to a tie for sixth with Nicole Latini '12 on the program's all-time list with 176 hits.
• Moore can move up to fourth with three more hits, passing Meghan Gaskell '06 (177) and Ashley Tango '19 (178).
NUMBERS TO KNOW
• Four of Babson's eight wins this spring have come by way of the eight-run mercy rule.
• The Beavers are 6-0 this season and 12-0 since the start of last season when scoring at least six runs.
• The Green and White are 7-1 this spring when out-hitting their opponents.
• Babson is 4-0 this spring and 28-2 going back to 2024 when allowing two runs or fewer.
