• No. 13 IWLCA/No. 16 USA Lacrosse Babson (2-1, 1-0 NEWMAC) has won back-to-back games after easing past Roger Williams 15-6 on Tuesday afternoon.

Michaela Downer put up a career-high six points on four goals and two assists, Blake added three goals and two assists and Connolly scored four times to go along with five draw controls for the Beavers, who held the Hawks scoreless for a stretch of more than 23 minutes in the second and third quarters.

Eileen Manning leads the defense with seven ground balls and six caused turnovers, while Murphy owns a 9.03 goals against average and a .510 save percentage to go along with a team-high 12 ground balls in three starts.
SCOUTING THE PIONEERS
• Smith (5-3, 1-0 NEWMAC) has won two straight games after defeating Worcester State 17-10 on Tuesday in Puerto Rico.
• Kyra Hawk scored five goals, Carolina Sanders contributed four goals and 10 draw controls, and Sadie Tschider added three goals and three assists for the Pioneers, who raced out to a 7-0 lead and were up 12-4 at the half.
• Tschider (20-16-36) leads the NEWMAC in points and assists, Hawk (22-11-33) has recorded seven multi-goal games this spring and Sanders (18-4-22) is first on the team with 37 draw controls and nine caused turnovers.
• Leigh Hillmanno and Layna Fitzgerald (16-3-19) have both scooped up 12 ground balls, Darci DeAngelis and Yasmin Grant both have eight caused turnovers, and Brooke Testa and Shannon Houtenville have combined for a 12.41 goals against average and a .431 save percentage on the year.
SCOUTING THE BANTAMS
• No. 15 IWLCA/No. 18 USA Lacrosse Trinity (3-2), which hosts Williams on Friday night, snapped a two-game losing streak with a 12-10 win over Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Tuesday in California.
• Alex Lesko scored four times, Kelsey Restivo added three goals and Brooke Kurtz contributed a goal and three assists for the Bantams, who got 11 saves from Olivia Aguirre and won despite losing 22 of 25 draws.
• Restivo (14-1-15) has scored goals over the last two games, Kurtz (3-11-14) produced at least four points three times this spring and Lesko (10-2-12) has three multi-goal games.
• Emily Ambrozy, who leads the team with nine caused turnovers, and Ivy Armentrout are tied for the team lead with 11 draw controls, Samantha Hark has picked up 11 ground balls and the duo of Aguirre (1-0) and Ali Macdougall (2-1) have posted an 11.25 goals against average and a .443 save percentage.
QUICK ON THE DRAW
• Connolly averaged 10.60 draw controls per game in 2024 to lead Division III for the second year in a row, reaching double digits in 13 of Babson's 20 games.
• Connolly ranks second (228 in 2023) and fourth (212 in 2024) in Division III history in single-season draw controls, joining Kelly McGinniss of Lycoming (239 in 2019) and Holly Hite of Merdith (222 in 2019) in the top four.
• Her program-record 537 career draw controls rank eighth in Division III history, exactly 100 behind all-time leader Emily Wadds of Wittenberg, who secured 637 from 2016-19.
STREAKING BEAVERS
• Evans has scored at least one goal in 30 consecutive games dating back to 2023.
• Novitch has recorded at least one point in 18 straight outings, which includes scoring a goal in the last 10 contests going back to last season.

• Manning has at least one caused turnover in four straight and 13 of the last 15 games, and has picked up a ground ball in five consecutive outings and 17 of the last 18 contests going back to last year.
DOMINATING DEFENSE
• After allowing 17 goals to No. 1 Middlebury in its season opener, Babson has given up just nine goals over its last two games while registering 12 caused turnovers against both Coast Guard and Roger Williams.
• Over their last 19 games going back to March 23 of last season, the Beavers have conceded more than nine goals just four times with two of the contests coming against top-five opponents in Middlebury this season and No. 5 Salisbury in the third round of last year's NCAA Tournament.
