WHAT TO KNOW
• The Babson baseball team heads to central Florida for seven games over six days beginning on Friday morning.
• After opening with MSOE on Friday, the Beavers face a pair of nationally-ranked squads in Rhodes and Rowan in addition to Coe, which won 31 games and advanced to the NCAA Tournament La Crosse (Wis.) regional final last season.

vs. Rowan: The Beavers are 0-1 versus the Profs and Sunday's matchup will be the first since suffering a 12-2 loss back in 2011.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• No. 19 D3baseball.com/No. 30 ABCA Babson (3-0) wrapped up an undefeated trip to Lexington, Ky., with a 5-4 win over then-No. 13/11 Baldwin Wallace back on March 2.

James Clark (1-0) gave up three runs over 6.0 innings in the win over No. 26 Transylvania on March 1 and Teator recorded a pair of saves in two relief appearances.
SCOUTING THE RAIDERS
• MSOE (2-3) has dropped three straight games after suffering a 5-1 loss to Wisconsin-Platteville to conclude a three-game series last Sunday.
• JJ Jackson struck out nine over six shutout innings and Christian Bosque went 3-for-4 with a run scored for the Raiders, who were limited to just four hits and allowed all five runs over the final two innings.
• Camden Hoier is batting .400 (6-for-15) with a triple, four RBI and three runs scored, Jordan Skolmar is hitting .368 (7-for-19) with a homer, two doubles, four RBI and four runs scored, and Bosque owns a .33 average to go along with a pair of extra-base hits, seven stolen bases and five runs scored.
• Kellen Pate (1-1, 3.37 ERA) has nine strikeouts and is holding opposing hitters to a .150 average in 10.2 innings over two starts, Zach Brzezinski (0-0) has a 3.60 ERA in a pair of starts and Elias Lopez has gone 1-0 with a 3.86 earned run average in two appearances out of the bullpen.
SCOUTING THE LYNX
• No. 20 ABCA Rhodes (12-6) has dropped its last four games after suffering an 8-1 loss to Roger Williams on Tuesday in Winter Haven, Fla.
• Quinn Blackman went 2-for-3 with a run scored, Myles Kruger knocked in a run and Corbin Kinder doubled for the Lynx, which got eight strikeouts over five innings from Reid Lampert.
• Brandon Trichell is batting .370 with three homers, two doubles, 12 RBI and 15 runs scored, Blackman is hitting .333 with four doubles, two home runs and a team-high 17 runs batted in, and Ben Burkhart has gone deep six times to go along with four doubles, 15 RBI and 16 runs scored this spring.
• Zac Sohosky is 3-1 with a 4.18 ERA and 27 strikeouts in 23.2 innings over four starts, Mick Arney is 3-1 with one save and a 4.40 ERA in nine relief appearances, and Reid Manti is 1-1 with two saves and a 2.81 earned run average in 16.0 innings on the year.
SCOUTING THE KOHAWKS
• Coe (3-1) bounced back from its first loss of the season with a 9-8 victory at Washington University in St. Louis on Monday.
• Mitchell Eckardt and Jake Brosius both drove in a pair of runs, Jack Allison homered as part of a two-hit day and Ryan Thoreson went 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored for the Kohawks, who went in front for good with a three-run eighth inning.
• Austin Gomez is 5-for-8 (.625) at the plate with three doubles and five runs batted in, Thoreson is hitting .438 (7-for-16) with three extra-base hits, three RBI and five runs scored, and Allison boasts a .429 average (6-for-14) with three RBI and a team-high six runs scored in four starts.
• Caden Richards (1-0), Ethan O'Donnell (0-0) and Jack Walsh (1-0) each tossed five shutout innings in their first starts of the year, Xander Cloudy (0-0, 1.69 ERA) has seven strikeouts in 5.1 innings out of the bullpen and Drew Osterman has recorded a pair of saves in two relief appearances.
SCOUTING THE PROFS
• No. 17 D3baseball.com/No. 23 ABCA Rowan (4-1) has won three straight games after completing a sweep of last Saturday's doubleheader at McDaniel with a 9-2 victory.
• Eric Sabato singled three times, Nick Struble went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored, and Steven Maiers struck out six over five shutout innings for the Profs, who scored four times in the top of the first.
• Struble is batting .500 (5-for-10) a triple and five runs batted in, Brayden Davis is hitting .364 (8-for-22) with three doubles, a home run, five RBI and five runs scored, and Phil Sedalis owns a .360 average (9-for-25) with two homes, seven RBI and six runs scored.
• Zach Coluccio (0-0) has eight strikeouts and has not allowed an earned run over 7.0 innings, Maiers (1-0, 0.90 ERA) has 10 strikeouts in 10.0 innings over two starts and Mike Shannon is 2-0 with a 2.53 ERA and 14 strikeouts over 10.2 innings of work in his first two starts on the mound this spring.
TEATOR PICKS UP CONFERENCE, NATIONAL AWARDS
• After throwing a pair of shutout innings and recording two saves last weekend at Transylvania, Teator was selected as the NEWMAC Pitcher of the Week on Monday and earned a spot on the D3baseball.com Team of the Week on Wednesday.
• He worked around an error to record the final three outs in Saturday's 5-3 win over the host Pioneers and finished with a strikeout and a walk in a scoreless ninth inning on Sunday to secure the Beavers' 5-4 victory over Baldwin Wallace.
RECORD-SETTING SAVAGE
• Graduate student
Brant Savage set a new single-season program record with 22 doubles last year while finishing with career highs in batting average (.333), hits (58), slugging percentage (.598) and total bases (104).
• He enters the 2025 campaign ranked fourth in Babson history with 20 home runs, which is eight shy of the program record set by Ted Dziuba '06 from 2003-06, and 11th on the career doubles list with 33.
IMPRESSIVE OPENING ACT
• Six different players recorded at least one multi-hit game in Babson's wins over Hope, Transylvania and Baldwin Wallace and Cushner, Savage and Liss all finished with multiple hits in a pair of outings.

Dante D'Avanzo all recorded a multi-RBI game as seven different players drove in at least one run with six finishing with at least two RBI.
• The Beavers' relief corps allowed just one earned run and just a pair of extra-base hits while striking out four and holding opposing hitters to a .211 average over 9.0 innings of work last weekend.
STREAKING BEAVERS
• Savage and Cushner both have a hit in three straight games, Savage has reached base safely in eight consecutive starts and Teator has reached safely in seven straight outings going back to last season.
• Teator has not allowed a run spanning 14.1 innings of work over his last 11 appearances out of the bullpen.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Beavers are 27-4 going back to the start of last season when allowing five runs or fewer.
• Babson is 2-0 this season and 24-4 dating back to the start of the 2024 campaign when recording more hits than its opponents.
• The Green and White is 27-3 since the start of last season when its pitching staff allows two extra-base hits or fewer.
