James Rosenbloom (Stowe, Vt.) and
Connor Roy (Wellesley, Mass.) both finished among the top five as the Babson College men's alpine ski team concluded the regular season by winning the slalom at Catamount Mountain on Saturday afternoon.
The Beavers finished just 0.63 seconds ahead of second-place Castleton to make it 10 victories in 10 MacConnell Division races this season for the first time in program history. The Green and White secured its first division title since 1993 at West Mountain last Saturday.
Rosenbloom posted his team-leading eighth podium finish and fifth in a row by coming in third with a two-run time of 1:34.73 on Sunday. Roy crossed the finish line just 0.16 seconds behind him to secure fourth position, which is his best result of the year.
Junior
Elliot Perretta (Annecy, France) came in eighth with a time of 1:36.25 and first-year
Moksh Patel (Edgewater, N.J.) finished 13th in a time of 1:36.88. Sophomore
Marcel Bartumeu Ramentol (Andorra la Vella, Andorra) completed his first race of the year placing 18th with a time of 1:38.25.
Babson returns to action next Saturday and Sunday when it travels to Carrabassett Valley, Maine, to compete in the USCSA Eastern Regional Championships at Sugarloaf Mountain.
