CHARLEMONT, Mass.—Four competitors finished among the top seven on the individual leaderboard as the Babson College men's alpine ski team came in first in the slalom at Berkshire East Mountain on Saturday afternoon.
The Beavers finished atop the podium for the ninth time in nine MacConnell Division races this winter, coming in 2.15 seconds ahead of second-place Castleton. UMass placed third, UConn was fourth and Clarkson rounded out the top five.
First-year
James Rosenbloom (Stowe, Vt.) recorded his fourth consecutive podium finish by coming in third with a two-run time of 1:31.95. Sophomore
Mads Fondevik Syversen (Oslo, Norway) was right behind him in fourth place with a time of 1:32.44, while first-year
Connor Roy (Wellesley, Mass.) and junior
Elliot Perretta (Annecy, France) finished sixth and seventh, respectively. Roy posted a time of 1:32.63 and Perretta crossed the finish line in 1:32.95.
First-year
Moksh Patel (Edgewater, N.J.) came in 16th with a time of 1:36.09, junior
Sebastian Sheppard (Park City, Utah) finished 18th in a time of 1:37.59 and first-year
Jett Sheppard (Park City, Utah) was just 0.16 seconds behind him in 19th position. Sophomore
Alessio Della Casa (Geneva, Switzerland) placed 31st with a time of 1:45.24.
Babson travels to Catamount Mountain for its final race of the regular season on Sunday starting at 10 a.m.
