WORCESTER, Mass.—Babson College junior
David Krol (Grafton, Wis.) broke his own six-dive program record on the 1-meter board to highlight a pair of strong performances at WPI's Gompei Invitational on Sunday afternoon.
Krol's score of 397.50 shattered his previous mark of 348.60 set last February. Although his result did not count in the individual standings while competing in the event as an exhibition, it was the best among five divers and 36.45 points ahead of WPI's Thomas Fitzgerald (361.05).
Beavers' first-year
Hadi AlDayaa (Chelmsford, Mass.) also put together his best performance of the season totaling a season-high 292.10 points. His mark was fourth among five divers and was 91.40 points better than his previous high score of the year recorded against Clark back on November 1.
The Babson men's and women's swimming & diving teams return to competition on Friday, January 2, when they host Amherst at 5:30 p.m.
