NORTON, Mass.—Junior
Anthony Taslakov (Sherborn, Mass.) was part of two first-place finishes in Saturday's finals to help the Babson College men's swimming & diving team come in second at the two-day Fisher Invitational.
The Beavers totaled 430 points in eight events on Saturday to finish the weekend with 852 points. Roger Williams came in first with 974.5 points, Wheaton was third with 657 points and Eastern Connecticut State took fourth place with 339.5 points.
Taslakov finished first in the 200 free with a time of 1:40.56 and later teamed with sophomore

Evan Hong (Longmeadow, Mass.) to win the 400 free relay with a time of 3:05.59. Babson's other first-place result in Saturday's A finals came in the 100 backstroke where sophomore
Thomas Ambelang (Bernardsville, N.J.) posted a time of 51.62 to finish more than a second ahead of his closest competitor.

Nathan Huynh (Naperville, Ill.) was the runner-up in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:06.70, Hannenian took second in the 200 free touching the wall with a time of 1:44.23, and first-year
Matthias McFarlane (Trumbull, Conn.) finished second in the 100 butterfly with a time of 51.33, Fellow rookie
Wyatt Amos (Gloucester, Mass.) came in third in the A final of the 100 backstroke with a time of 53.48, Ambelang placed third in the 100 butterfly with a time of 51.60, and also teamed with Huynh, McFarlane and sophomore
Nehemiah Rhee (Paramus, N.J.) to record a second-place showing in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:33.80.
Iglar finished fourth in the 200 breaststroke (2:07.97), Rhee placed fourth in the 100 butterfly (51.75), and the trio of first-year

Jason Zeliph (Vorheesville, N.Y.) were came in fifth through seventh in the 1650 free. Hong came in sixth in the 200 free (1:44.64), Amos placed seventh in the 50 free (22.22) and sophomore
Liam Maloney (Tampa, Fla.) and senior
Marcelo Carrion (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) were separated by just 0.30 seconds while coming in sixth and eighth, respectively, in the 100 butterfly. Maloney touched the wall in 52.46, while Carrion was two spots behind him in 52.76.
Sophomore
Dom Crisafulli (Natick, Mass.) came in first in the B final of the 200 free with a time of 1:46.34, first-year
Jason Spears (Queen Creek, Ariz.) was the runner-up in the B final of the 200 breaststroke (2:17.37), and the trio of sophomores
Ryan Furudera (Tokyo, Japan),
Phillip Spiridonov (Ridgewood, N.J.) and Maloney took second through fourth position in the B final of the 100 backstroke.
Furudera touched the wall in 54.89, Spiridonov was right behind him in a time of 55.15 and Maloney registered a time of 55.85 to finished fourth.
Babson swimmers also placed third through fifth while being separated by just 0.11 seconds in the 50 free B final. Furudera came in third with a time of 22.68, Spiridonov touched the wall in 22.74 and sophomore
Chengetai Zamchiya (Cheverly, Md.) was fifth overall with a time of 22.79.
The Beavers will open the second half of their season on January 2 when they host Amherst inside Morse Pool at 5 p.m.
