NEW LONDON, Conn. —Junior
David Krol (Grafton, Wis.) registered a ninth place finish on the 3-meter board at the NCAA Division III Northeast/North Diving Regional held Friday afternoon at Connecticut College's Lott Natatorium.
Krol finished with a score of 402.30 points, 18 points behind sophomore Nolan Jennings of NYU (420.20) and 20 points back of rival junior Christian Butler of Springfield (422.15) and 18 points ahead of first-year Andrew Simons of MIT (384.40).
First-year Carter Kov of the US Merchant Marine Academy captured first place with a score of 500.00, 18 points ahead of last year's champion junior Haochen Liu of Williams, who scored 482.10. Sophomore Calder Biondi of Williams (479.20) and juniors Jay Wilkinson of Tufts (469.45) and Cameron Bizjak of Connecticut College (459.70) rounded out the top five.
Krol posted his third straight top-15 finish in the 3-meter event after placing 14th in 2024 and eighth in 2025.
The meet continues on Saturday with the 1-meter event, beginning at 12 p.m.
