SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 20-22 all-time against Clark in a series that dates back to 1980.
• The Beavers snapped a two-match skid in the series with a win in last year's NEWMAC Tournament quarterfinals and have won 13 of their last 17 matches versus the cougars since 2011.

Lauren Gips '25 added 14 kills, six blocks and six digs to help fifth-seeded Babson defeat fourth-seeded Clark in four sets, 23-25, 25-17, 25-23, 27-25, in a NEWMAC Tournament quarterfinal on November 12, 2024, in Worcester, Mass.

Zoe Ackerman handed out 37 assists to go along with 13 digs and three blocks, while
Roz Cabuena led all players with 19 digs for the Beavers, who overcame a 24-21 deficit in the fourth set to close out the match.
• Victoria Pastor led all players with 16 kills, Camille Flurry had seven kills and five blocks, and Yvanna Torres provided 20 assists and 18 digs for the Cougars, who hit just .117 over the final two sets.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (18-6, 8-1 NEWMAC) followed up a 3-2 win over William Smith with a 3-0 loss to Union on Saturday in Schenectady, N.Y.
• Junior
Hailey Fouche finished with 13 kills and nine digs, Allen added 10 kills and Ackerman contributed 30 assists and nine digs for the Beavers, who hit just .178 in the loss to the Garnet Chargers.
• Allen (2.66 k/s) is hitting .225 on the year and .249 over the last nine matches, Fouche is averaging 2.37 kills and sophomore
Angelina Holm (1.99 k/s, 0.84 blocks/set) ranks seventh in the conference with a .320 hitting percentage.

Ailsa Munro ranks third in the league averaging 0.93 blocks per set, Ackerman is tied for the conference lead with 58 service aces and is second in assists per set (8.87), and senior
Sophia Shaw is third in the NEWMAC in total digs (343) and fifth in digs per set (3.90).
SCOUTING THE COUGARS
• Clark (1-21, 0-9 NEWMAC) has dropped it last 16 matches and is coming off a 3-0 setback at Wentworth last Thursday in Boston.
• Isabella Alcott had eight kills and eight digs, Harper Chinn provided five kills and nine digs, and Yumeng Liu added eight digs for the Cougars, who finished with 20 kills and 19 errors in the loss.
• Alcott is averaging 2.57 kills and 1.66 digs per set, while Chinn is contributing 1.57 kills and 2.20 digs.
• Abigail Venis leads the team with 35 total blocks, Julia Dopazo and Hannah Harrington have combined to hand out 5.33 assists per set, and Liu is averaging a team-high 3.15 digs per set.
POSTSEASON PUSH
• Babson has secured home-court advantage in next week's NEWMAC Tournament and regardless of Tuesday's outcome will visit Springfield on Saturday with the winner earning the second seed in the league playoffs.
• In addition to battling for conference tournament seeding, the Beavers enter the week at No. 32 in the Division III NPI rankings, which is used to determine the 21 at-large selections to the NCAA Tournament.
• The Green and White is one of three NEWMAC teams currently among the top 40 along with No. 9 MIT and No. 36 Springfield.
BABSON VOLLEYBALL CELEBRATES 50 YEARS
• Babson will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the start of the women's volleyball program on Tuesday night when the Green and White faces Clark.
• After losing its opening match of the 1975 season, the Beavers rallied from two sets down for a reverse sweep of Bradford College under the direction of Fran Hartwell.
VETERAN MILESTONES
• Shaw, who played in the 100th and 101st matches of her career on Saturday, became the 12th player in program history to surpass 1,000 career digs with 13 in the loss to Union.
• Allen upped her career kills total to 889 and is now sixth all-time in program history after passing Alyson Yablonskie '03 on Saturday.
RISING IN THE RECORD BOOKS
• Ackerman's 58 aces this fall are tied for 13th in single-season program history and her 166 career aces have her up to sixth all-time in just 85 career matches.
• Munro's 76 total blocks are currently 15th on the Beavers' single-season list, while Shaw's career-high 343 digs also rank 15th on the program's single-season chart.
BEAVER BITES
• Fouche has recorded 10 or more kills in four of the last five matches and in 11 outings since October 4 is averaging 2.78 kills and 0.92 blocks per set while hitting .230.
• Shaw has finished with at least 12 digs in 11 straight contests and is averaging 4.28 digs per set during this stretch.
• Over her last nine matches, Allen boasts a .249 hitting percentage and is averaging 2.64 kills per set.

Misaki Harte has at least one service ace in six consecutive matches and has finished with two or more aces in nine of the last 12 contests.

Sabina Frosk served up a season-high five aces in Saturday's loss to Union and has finished with double-digit digs in two of her last four outings.
• Munro has finished with four or more total blocks over the eight times over the last 11 matches and is averaging 1.15 blocks per set during this stretch.
• Ackerman has handed out 40 or more assists six times over the last 10 matches and has finished with at least 30 assists and nine digs five times during this run.
