SERIES HISTORY
vs. Williams

• Babson is 21-25-3 all-time against the Ephs in a series that dates back to the 1979-80 campaign.
• The teams have alternated wins and losses over the last five encounters, and six of the last nine games have been decided by a single goal or finished in a tie.
• The Beavers were 2-1-1 against Williams at the Babson Skating Center dating back to 2013.
vs. Amherst
• Babson is 26-18-4 all-time against the Mammoths in a series that dates back to the 1972-73 season.
• The Beavers were unbeaten (2-0-1) in three straight outings vs. Amherst from 2019-22 before dropping the last two meetings in 2023 and 2024.
• The Green and White are 2-3-0 in the last five games at the Babson Skating Center going back to 2013.

LAST MEETING
vs. Williams

• Senior Conner Fitzpatrick scored his second goal of the season four minutes into overtime to lift Williams to a 2-1 victory over Babson on November 30, 2024, inside the Lansing Chapman Rink.
• Senior Brendan Kennedy scored the lone goal for the Beavers with assists from junior Joseph Kramer and senior Danny Cavanagh. Senior Nate Mueller made 36 saves on 38 shots in his first appearance of the season but took the loss.
• Jack Sabre '25 had a part of both Williams scores with a goal and an assist while sophomores Jake McManus and Leo Schneeberg picked up assists. Cal Sandquist '25 finished with 28 saves, including four in overtime, to register the victory in goal for the Ephs.
vs. Amherst
• Connor Leslie '25 stopped all 25 shots he faced, senior Josh Burke tallied a goal and two assists, and three players contributed a goal and a helper each as Amherst overpowered Babson, 7-0, on December 1, 2024, inside the Orr Rink.
• Junior Mason Rosado made 29 saves in goal for the Beavers in the loss. The only bright spots for the Green and White came in the face-off circle, where they won 34-of-56 puck drops, including 9-of-12 by senior Ryan Murphy, 9-of-14 by Cavanagh, and 8-of-13 and 8-of-14 by fellow seniors Cam Joslin and Ian Driscoll, respectively.
• Senior Zachary Murray, sophomore Cristobal Tola and Matt Toporowski '25 tallied a goal and an assist each for the Mammoths and sophomore Ben Cook collected three assists. Senior Andrew Carmody, Ben Kuzma '25 and junior Vincent Velocci notched one goal each as 14 different Mammoths earned at least one point in the victory.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• No. 11 Babson (6-1-1, 4-0-1 LEC) is looking to bounce back from its first loss of the season, a 5-1 non-conference setback to Tufts on Tuesday in the Babson Skating Center.
• Kennedy scored the only Babson goal for the in the setback with assists from senior Will Holland and Joslin. Rosado made 22 saves in goal for the Beavers, who finished with a 31-27 margin in shots on goal.
• Junor Jimmy Fallon (8-5-13) had a six-game goal scoring streak snapped in the loss to Tufts, and sophomore Evan Brown (3-10-13) had a seven-game point streak broken. Fallon is third in Division III in goals per game (1.00) and Brown is seventh in Division III in assists per game (1.25). Seniors Egan Schmitt (1-4-5), Charlie Andriole (1-4-5) and Murphy (0-5-5) are tied for third on the team in points, and Kennedy (4-0-4) is second on the squad in goals.
• Senior Nate Mueller (1.97 GAA, .919 sv. pct.) is 4-0-1 in five starts in goal while Rosado (2.67 GAA, 0.881 sv. pct) is 2-1-0 with one shutout in his three appearances.

SCOUTING THE EPHS
• Williams (2-2-0, 2-2-0 NESCAC) is looking to build some momentum after taking a pair of close conference games last weekend, defeating Connecticut College 5-3 on Friday and edging Tufts 4-3 in overtime on Saturday,
• Junior Brady Welsch notched his second goal of the afternoon for the game-winner against Tufts 34 seconds into overtime. McManus and first-year Gates Omicioli tallied a goal and an assist each for the Ephs and first-year Jackson Krill collected three assists in the win. Sophomore Kael DePape made 28 saves in goal in the victory.
• Welsch (5-0-5) has a pair of multi-goal games in his only two outings, including a hat trick again Connecticut College. McManus, Omicioli and senior David Vieten are tied for second on the team with one goal and two assists apiece.
• DePape (4.08 GAA, .862 sv. pct.) has been in the crease in all four games for the Ephs, earning a pair of victories and making 94 saves.

SCOUTING THE MAMMOTHS
• Amherst (2-2-0, 1-2-0 NESCAC), which will host No. 9 SUNY Geneseo on Saturday before traveling to Babson, edged Saint Michael's 3-2 in overtime in a non-conference game on Tuesday in Amherst.
• Junior Oliver Flynn potted the game-winner 38 seconds into the extra session after setting up classmate Zach Jesse for a game-tying goal at 12:53 of the third period. Junior Vincent Velocci also scored and sophomore Matteo De Luca made 16 saves in goal for the Mammoths, which outshot the Purple Knights, 43-18.
• Burke (2-2-4) has a point in all four games for Amherst while Flynn and junior Matt Vander Vort have a goal and two assists each for the Mammoths, who are looking for their first power play goal of the season.
• First-year Vincent Lamberti (1.63 GAA, .929 sv. pct.) has started two games for the Mammoths while De Luca (1.99 GAA, .899 sv. pct.) and junior Andrew Palena (5.83 GAA, .813 sv. pct.) have one start each.

BABSON VS. THE NESCAC
• This weekend will mark the second and third straight games against schools from the NESCAC.
• Babson is 0-1-0 this season and 1-3-1 against the conference dating back to the start of last season, with three of the games decided by one goal or ending in a tie.
• The Beavers were 3-3-1 in two seasons from 2022-24 after going 7-0-1 in two seasons from 2019-22, including 5-0-0 in 2021-22.

COMFORTS OF HOME
• This weekend wraps up a six-game homestand for the Beavers, with the team going 2-1-1 in the first four encounters.
• Babson enters Friday at 3-1-1 at home to start the season, with four of the five games decided by one goal or ending in a tie.
• The Green and White are 11-5-2 at the Babson Skating Center since the start of last season and 19-7-4 on home ice gong back to the opening of the 2023-24 season.

BEAVERS VS. THE VISITORS
• Kennedy has two goals and one assist in three career games vs. Williams with one point in all three contests. Murphy has a goal and an assist in three appearances vs. the Ephs, and 13 Beavers have at least one point against Williams in the last three years.
• Mueller is 1-1-1 in three outings against Williams with a 1.30 goals against average and a .962 save percentage with exactly 100 saves.
• Schmitt (2-1-3) and Holland (1-2-3) each have three career points each against Amherst, and Kenney and senior Sam Sibold have two assists each.
• Rosado and Mueller have each suffered a loss to the Mammoths over the past two seasons.

BEAVER BITES
• The Green and White are ranked 21st in Division III in scoring defense (2.25 goals allowed per game) and 14th in scoring offense (3.75 goals per game).
• The Beavers are 40th in Division III with a 20.0 power play percentage (5-for-25) and 29th in penalty kill percentage at 85.7, allowing just three goals in 21 opportunities.
• Babson has outshot its opponents 311-191 in the first eight games.

NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Green and White are 6-0-1 this season and 28-3-3 over the past three seasons when scoring at least three goals.
• Babson is 4-0-1 this season and 31-3-2 over the past four seasons when leading after the second period.
• The Beavers are 4-0 this season and 12-3-1 going back to last season when scoring on the power play as well as 4-0-1 this year and 10-5-3 since last year when not allowing a power play goal.

UP NEXT
• After a break for final exams and the holidays, the Beavers will be back on the ice for the Oswego State Holiday Classic, facing Elmira on January 2 in Oswego, N.Y., and either No. 6 Oswego or Williams on January 3.
