Women's Hoops Concludes Three-Game Homestand on Monday Against Brandeis

SERIES HISTORY

•    Babson is 31-25 all-time against Brandeis in a series that dates back to the 1975-76 campaign.
•    The Beavers have won four straight and 11 of their last 13 meetings against the Judges going back to 2010. 
•    Despite four straight double-digit victories by the Green and White, seven of the last 13 games between the teams have been decided by seven points or less or in overtime.
•    Babson has won its last six games versus Brandeis inside Staake Gymnasium going back to 2012. 

LAST MEETING
•    Katelyn Mollica '25 scored a game-high 17 points and Camilla Silk '25 and junior Samantha Reale both posted double-doubles to help Babson defeat Brandeis, 63-52, on November 26, 2024, in Waltham, Mass. 
•    Silk scored 15 points on 7-of-10 shooting to go along with 11 rebounds and four assists in 39 minutes, while Reale contributed 14 points, 10 boards and four steals for the Beavers, who finished with a 46-36 edge on the glass. 
•    Lulu Ohm and Abby Kennedy both scored 14 points for the Judges, who trailed by just four less than six minutes to play in the fourth quarter.  

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
•    Babson (3-2) snapped a two-game skid with a 74-50 victory over Albertus Magnus on Saturday night. 
•    Graduate student Emily Flynn recorded a triple-double with 16 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists, and sophomore Rylie Rosenberg came off the bench to score 11 points for the Beavers, who led by eight at the half and outscored the Falcons 23-10 in the third quarter. 
•    Flynn (14.6 pts, 7.6 reb, 4.2 ast) is shooting 49.1 percent and leads the team in assists, Reale (12.2 pts, 8.6 reb, 2.2 stl) has scored in double figures four times and is first on the squad in rebounds and steals, and senior Chloe Perreault is averaging 9.4 points and 6.4 rebounds in five starts. 
•    The Green and White is holding its opponents to 56.0 points and just 36.6 percent shooting and ranks 23rd in Division III in rebounding margin (13.8). 

SCOUTING THE JUDGES
•    Brandeis (5-0) is off to its best start since 2009-10 after cruising past Rivier 64-39 last Tuesday. 
•    Abby Kennedy led all players with 20 points, Maya Williams scored 14 points on 6-of-7 shooting to go along with three blocks, and Katherine Vaughan pulled down 11 rebounds in addition to scoring six points and doling out four assists for the Judges, who led 20-5 after the first quarter and by as many as 24 in the first half. 
•    Kennedy (22.0 pts, 5.0 reb) has scored at least 20 points in four straight outings, Babson transfer Sofia Berisha (10.0 pts, 7.0 reb, 3.4 ast) has scored in double figures three times and leads the team in assists, and Vaughan (9.0 pts, 8.2 reb, 2.2 blocks) is shooting 50 percent on the year. 
•    Brandeis is allowing just 54.6 points on 32.3 percent shooting and ranks 27th in Division III in rebounding margin (12.8). 

HISTORY LESSON
•    Flynn's triple-double on Saturday against Albertus Magnus is the first by a Babson player since 2011 when Sarah Collins '13 finished with 11 points, 14 rebounds and a career-high 11 blocked shots. 
•    Her 10 assists are also the most by a Beaver since February 4, 2023, when Megan Bauman '23 dished out 12 in a victory over Weaton. 
•    In Division III games through November 20, only Alexa Charles of Hunter had recorded a triple-double this season and she did it in back-to-back games against Pratt and Merchant Marine to begin the year. 

FAMILIAR FACE ON THE OTHER SIDE
•    Julie Prichett was hired as the sixth head coach in Brandeis women's basketball program history back in June 2024 following three seasons as the top assistant at Babson. 
•    She helped the Beavers make a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances, which includes advancing to the national quarterfinals in 2023, as well as three straight appearances in the NEWMAC Tournament final during her time in Babson Park.

BEAVER BITES
•    Flynn has connected on at least two three-pointers in eight straight games going back to last February. 
•    Sophomore Brooke Canty provided career highs of nine points and four rebounds in Saturday's win over Albertus Magnus. 
•    Reale has at least one steal in all five games this season and 10 over the last four contests. 
•    Perreault has knocked down a three-pointer in seven consecutive outings dating back to the end of last season. 
•    First-year Molly Donovan is averaging 7.3 points over the last four games and is shooting 53.8 percent (7-of-13) from beyond the arc in the last three contests. 
•    Sophomore Julia St. Laurent scored a season-high eight points and matched her season high with five rebounds in the win over Albertus Magnus. 

NUMBERS TO KNOW
•    The Beavers assisted on 24 of their 28 made shots on Saturday night and have recorded an assist on 64.2 percent of its field goals over the first five games. 
•    Babson is 3-0 this season and 8-2 since the start of the 2024-25 campaign when it makes nine or more three-pointers. 
•    The Green and White has won its last nine games when allowing fewer than 60 points. 
•    Babson has won the rebounding battle in 27 of its last 31 games dating back to the start of last year.
