SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 25-1-1 in the last 27 games against Southern Maine over the last decade and is 41-9-2 all-time against the Huskies in a series that dates back to 1995.
• The lone loss going back to 2013 was in the 2020 NEHC Tournament quarterfinals and the tie was in November of 2023, both in Babson Park.
• The Green and White are 13-1-1 against USM inside the Babson Skating Center since 2012.
LAST MEETING
• Senior
Tommy Rooney registered a career-high three points on two goals and an assist, including the third-period game-winner, as Babson defeated Southern Maine, 4-3, to complete a weekend sweep on November 23, 2024 inside the Babson Skating Center.

Joseph Kramer finished with a goal and an assist for the Beavers, and senior
Charlie Andriole scored for the second game in a row. Senior

• Zach Desmarais '25 led the Huskies with a goal and an assist and junior Adrian Jubran and sophomore Gavin Simopoulos scored once each. Azam Jiwa '25 and Matt Sullivan provided assists and Kyle Penton '25 made 39 saves in the setback.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• No. 13 Babson (6-0-0, 4-0-0 LEC) extended its perfect start to the season with a pair of 4-3 LEC victories over Norwich on Friday and Vermont State Castleton on Saturday at the Babson Skating Center.
• Junior
Jimmy Fallon registered his second career hat trick, Kramer scored once, and sophomore
Evan Brown collected three assists in the win over Norwich, while senior
Nate Mueller made 17 of his 35 saves in the third period. First-year
Reid Pehrkon and Fallon scored 13 seconds apart with less than four minutes remaining as Babson overcame a 3-1 third-period deficit to defeat Castleton. First-year
Brian Grant and Andriole also scored and Rosado made 24 saves in goal in the victory.
• Fallon (7-4-11) and Brown (3-8-11) share the team lead in scoring, with Fallon leading the way in goals and Brown in assists. Andriole (1-4-5) and fellow seniors
Ryan Murphy (0-5-5) and
Egan Schmitt (1-3-4) are producing offense for the Beavers and classmates
Brendan Kenney (3-0-3) and
Ian Driscoll (2-1-3) are multi-goal scorers.
• Mueller (1.75 GAA, .931 sv. pct.) is 4-0-0 in four starts in goal while Rosado (1.50 GAA, 0.925 sv. pct) 2-0-0 with one shutout in his two appearances.
SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
• Southern Maine (4-2-0, 3-1-0 LEC) extended its winning streak to four with last Friday's 6-4 win over Castleton before suffering a 2-1 setback to Norwich on Saturday.
• Junior Ethan Hoover and first-year Ben Aucoin scored two goals each against Castleton and senior John Hagan and first-year Nick Vinson added one each. Sophomore Gavin Simopoulos had two assists against the Spartans before scoring the only goal vs. the Cadets. First-year Loic Morin made 33 saves in the win and 20 saves in the loss.
• Aucoin (9-1-10) produced a six-goal game against Saint Anselm and leads the team in scoring. Simopoulos (3-4-7) has averaged more than one point per game and senior Cole Brennan (1-5-6) tops the team in assists. First-year Jordan Bezio (2-2-4) and senior Conor Donovan (1-3-4) have also been offensive contributors.
• Morin (2.36 GAA, .919 sv. pct.) has played all six games for the Huskies and has a 4-2 record with one shutout.
LEC WEEEKLY HONORS
• Fallon was named Little East Conference (LEC) Offensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon.
• The Beaver wing potted a pair of game-winning goals and tallying four times in all in a pair of one-goal victories, including his second career hat trick in a win over Norwich.
HOME ICE ADVANTAGE
• The Beavers are off to a 3-0 start at home this season with a trio of one-goal victories.
• Babson is are 11-4-1 at the Babson Skating Center since the start of last season and 19-6-3 on home ice since the start of the 2023-24 season.
BABSON VS. THE HUSKIES
• Andriole is Babson's current active leader in scoring against Southern Maine, having collected two goals and six assists for eight points in six outings vs. the Huskies.
• Driscoll has five points on two goals and three assists in six outings against the Huskies, and Kennedy has five points on one goal and four helpers. Murphy (2-2-4) and Dion (1-3-4) each have four points in six games and Rooney (2-1-3) and Stevens (1-2-3) have three points in five outings.
• Rosado is 3-0-1 in four starts against the Huskies over the past two seasons with a 2.68 goals against average and a .892 save percentage.
BACK IN THE DIVISION III POLL
• After making its first appearance since 2023 in the USCHO.com Division III poll last week, the Beavers move up two spots to No. 13 this week.
• The Green and White are fourth among New England schools, trailing No. 5 U. of New England, No. 7 Curry, and No. 12 Endicott.
• Three-time defending national champion Hobart received all 20 first-place votes and sits atop the poll.
STREAKING BEAVERS
• Fallon has scored at least one goal in five straight games with all seven goals coming in the streak
• Brown has at least one point in all six games since transferring to Babson from Skidmore, including three multi-point outings.
• Not counting the limited Covid-19 season in 2020-21, Babson's six-game winning streak is its best to start a season since the Beavers won their first seven games to open the 2015-16 campaign.
BEAVER BITES
• The Green and White are ranked 12th in Division III in scoring defense (1.67 goals allowed per game) and 12th in scoring offense (4.33 goals per game) through the first three weeks of the season.
• Babson has outshot its opponents 235-142 in the six games.
• The Beavers are eighth in Division III with a 31.3 percentage (5-for-16) and 25th in penalty kill percentage at 0.87, allowing just two goals in 15 opportunities.

• Babson is 4-0 this season and 31-3-1 over the past four seasons when leading after the second period.
