Women's Basketball Concludes Three-Game Road Trip on Friday at Endicott

SERIES HISTORY

•    Babson is 9-4 all-time against Endicott in a series that dates back to the 1975-76 campaign. 
•    The teams have met just three times since 2009 and the Beavers have defeated the Gulls in all three matchups (2019, 2021, 2022). 
•    The Green and White's last visit to Beverly came in 2009 when it suffered a 69-54 loss to Endicott. 

LAST MEETING 
•    Kelly Walsh '24 finished with 15 points and three steals, Katelyn Mollica '25 added 12 points and the Beavers defeated Endicott, 76-51, in the Judy Pearson '85 Memorial Tournament on December 31, 2022. 
•    Abby Miller '25 came off the bench to score nine points and Samantha Smith '23 added eight points for Babson, which built a 17-point halftime lead and shot 45 percent for the game. 
•    Sarah Dempsey led all players with 17 points, eight rebounds and three blocks, while Cassie Caldwell added 13 points and three steals for the Gulls, who shot just 30.4 percent in the loss. 

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
•    Babson (2-0) is coming off a 78-46 win at Curry on Monday night. 
•    Graduate student Emily Flynn scored a game-high 18 points on 8-of-10 shooting, senior Chloe Perreault and junior Samantha Reale each scored 12 points, and first-year Alyssa Hopps added 11 points and nine rebounds for the Beavers, who shot 60.7 percent in the first half and 55.4 percent for the game. 
•    Reale is averaging 14.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals, Flynn (14.0 pts, 6.0 reb) is shooting 52.4 percent from the floor and sophomore Rylie Rosenberg (11.5 pts, 2.5 ast, 2.5 stl) is second on the team with five three-pointers over the first two contests. 
•    The Green and White is averaging 74.5 points on 41.7 percent shooting, and owns a 15.5 rebounding margin through its first two games. 

SCOUTING THE GULLS
•    Endicott (1-2) has dropped its last two games and suffered a 71-59 loss at Springfield on Wednesday night. 
•    Aleah Bracy scored 20 points and Emma Shinney finished with 14 points, nine rebounds and a game-high five assists for the Gulls, who cut an 11-point halftime deficit down to three midway through the third before getting hit with a 19-7 run by the Pride. 
•    Shinney (18.3 pts, 9.7 reb, 4.0 ast, 2.0 stl) has one double-double and is shooting 48.9 percent from the floor, Bracey (15.3 pts, 3.7 reb) leads the team with seven three-pointers and Sofia Mazzotta is averaging 9.3 points and 2.3 boards while shooting 50 percent in three starts on the year.
•    Endicott is averaging 70.0 points on 46 percent shooting but has allowed its first three opponents to shoot 47.9 percent. 

BEAVER BITES
•   Hopps has scored in double figures in each of the first two games and is averaging 10.5 points and 9.0 rebounds while shooting 64.3 percent. 
•   Perreault leads the team with six three-pointers and is averaging 10.5 points and 5.0 rebounds in two starts on the year.
•    Flynn has scored in double figures in five of Babson's last seven games going back to last February and has knocked down at least two three-pointers in four straight outings. 
•    Reale has reached double figures in scoring and has attempted four or more free throws in six of the last seven games going back to last year. 
•    Sophomore Alessa Mendoza provided seven points on 3-of-3 shooting to go along with a career-high three steals in 10 minutes of action on Monday at Curry. 

MOVING UP THE CHARTS
•    Flynn ranks 12th in program history with 72 three-pointers and needs just two to match Allanah Wynn '13 and Jacqueline Jozefick '19 for 10th place on the Beavers' all-time list. 
•    Reale, who ranks 12th in Babson history in steals per game (1.87) needs just three more to reach 100 for her career. 

THREE AT A TIME
•    Babson, which finished last season ranked second in Division III shooting 38.1 percent from beyond the arc, attempted 42 three-pointers in last Friday's season opener. 
•    Sixteen of the Beavers' first 18 shots at Roger Williams came from long range and the 42 attempts are the team's most under third-year head coach Kate Barnosky
•    After making 12 triples in the season opener against the Hawks, the Green and White went 7-of-15 (46.7 percent) from long distance in Monday's win at Curry. 

SOMETHING IN COMMON
•    Babson will play its third consecutive foe from the Conference of New England on Friday night when it travels to Endicott and will also be the Gulls' fourth straight opponent from the NEWMAC. 
•    The Green and White is now 7-3 versus the CNE since 2019-20 after picking up road wins over Roger Williams and Curry to start the season. 
•    In addition to its loss at Springfield on Wednesday, Endicott defeated Wheaton in its season opener and suffered a 78-71 loss at Emerson on Monday. 

NUMBERS TO KNOW
•    The Beavers have pulled down 56 offensive rebounds over their first two games.  
•    Babson has scored at least 20 points in both the first and third quarters of its first two games this season
•    The Green and White has won seven consecutive games on the road going back to January of last season, while Endicott has won its last six contests at home. 
•    The Beavers are 26-4 since the start of the 2023-24 campaign when holding their foes below 60 points.
