WHAT TO KNOW
• The Babson men's golf team travels to the Atlanta suburb of Douglasville, Ga., to compete in the 54-hole West Pines Collegiate hosted by Oglethorpe beginning on Monday morning.
• The Beavers are taking part in the event, which is being played at West Pines Golf Club for the third year in a row, for the seventh time since 2018.
• The 20-team field will play 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday to determine a winner.
2024 WEST PINES COLLEGIATE HIGHLIGHTS

Evan Eichenlaub posted a second round 65 on the way to tying for second place and sophomore
Aman Vantipalli and senior
Tomas Amaya both tied for ninth place with a 54-hole score of 2-over 215 as Babson came in fourth at 20-over 872.
• Eichenlaub tied for second place at 4-under and Vantipalli (73-69-73) and Amaya (71-71-73) both finished at 2-over for the Beavers, who were tied for first place with eventual winners Oglethorpe after 36 holes.
ABOUT THE BEAVERS
• Babson followed up a runner-up showing at Middlebury's Duke Nelson Invitational on September 13-14 by finishing atop the leaderboard at the Williams Invitational on September 20-21.
• Vantipalli carded a second round 66 on the way to finishing third at 1-over 214, senior
Colin Fowler tied for sixth at 5-over and junior
Jack Berry grabbed a share of 13th position at 8-over for the Beavers, who recorded an 11-stroke victory.
• Berry has finished under par in three of his five rounds this fall and boasts a 71.80 stroke average, Vantipalli is second on the team with a 73.00 scoring average, and Fowler (73.60) boasts a pair of top-20 finishes to begin the season.
• The Green and White owns a 292.40 team average and has posted a score of 293 or better in three of its first five rounds this fall.
SUCCESS IN THE PEACH STATE
• In six previous trips to Georgia for the West Pines Collegiate (2023-24) and Royal Lakes-Oglethorpe Invitational (2018-19, 2021-22), the Beavers have grabbed at least a share of first place twice and own five top-four finishes.
• Babson tied atop the leaderboard with Greensboro in 2018 and posted a 12-shot victory in 2021 to go along with a runner-up finish in 2023 and fourth-place finishes in both 2019 and 2025.
BACK IN THE WINNERS CIRCLE
• The Beavers' victory two weeks ago was their third at the Williams Invitational since 2021 and the program's first since winning the Ephs' event at historic Taconic Golf Club in September 2023.
• The win was also the first for Babson in a 54-hole tournament after finishing as the runner-up at the Emory Invitational in both 2022 and 2023 and placing third at the Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate (2022) and Rhodes' Cochran Collegiate in both 2024 and 2025.
DAY TO REMEMBER
• In addition to closing out his morning round with an eagle, Fowler recorded the first double eagle of his collegiate career in his afternoon round at Taconic Golf Club back on September 20.
• Fowler eagled his final hole of round one, the par-5 first and then made an albatross on the par-5 10th hole in round on the way to shooting a 1-under 70.
RED NUMBERS
• Four of Babson's five players finished under par in one of their three rounds at the Williams Invitational.
• Berry and Fowler both shot 70 and Vantipalli recorded a career-best round of 5-under 66 in the second round after sophomore
Chad Tordone fired a 1-under 70 in the opening round.
• Going back to October of last season, the Beavers have had at least one player post a round under par in seven of their last eight events.
ABOUT THE FIELD
• In addition to third-ranked Oglethorpe and No. 21 Mary Hardin-Baylor, Hampden-Sydney, Piedmont and Averett all received votes in the GCAA Division III poll released back on September 19.
• In addition to the five programs that are either nationally ranked or receiving votes in the poll, four others (Drew, Mississippi University for Women, Piedmont, St. John Fisher) all earned a bid to last year's Division III NCAA Championship.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Beavers average team score in nine 54-hole events over the last three seasons is 888.22.
• The Green and White's best score during this stretch was an 868 at the Golfweek October Classic in 2023, and its second lowest total (872) came at last season's West Pines Collegiate.

• The Beavers will conclude the fall portion of their schedule at the Tartan Invitational at Laurel Valley Golf Club in Ligonier, Pa., on October 13-14.
