SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (8-6-3, 4-2-1 NEWMAC) is looking to bounce back from 1-0 losses in two of its last three games, including No. 8 Wheaton on Tuesday at Hartwell-Rogers Field.
• The Beavers were held to just 10 total shots and two on target by the stingy Lyons defense, one each by senior
Joao Araujo and junior
McKenzy Pierre. Montague matched his career high with seven saves for the Beavers, including five in the second half.
• Yablonovskiy (8-1-17) is tied for second in the league in goals and ranks fourth in points, junior
Titus Charles (3-1-7) and first-year
Connor Hanrahan (3-1-7) have combined to score three game-winning goals, and first-year
Will Boecher (2-3-7) leads the Green and White in assists.
• Montague is 7-4-1 in 12 starts and ranks first in the NEWMAC in save percentage (.841), second in shutouts (5) and ranks third with a 0.80 goals against average.
SCOUTING THE LYONS
• Coast Guard (7-5-5, 3-1-3 NEWMAC) is 0-3-2 in its last five outings, including a 1-0 conference loss at Springfield on Wednesday evening.
• The Bears outshot the Pride, 20-9, but could not capitalize on a 10-0 advantage in corner kicks. Junior Cole Miller mustered two of his team-high five shots on goal, and sophomore Connor Hickey finished with two saves in goal in the setback.
• Miller (5-1-11) has three game-winning strikes and leads the team in scoring. Senior Aidan Miles (3-0-6) is second on the team in goals and is tied for second in scoring with senior Aki Freeman (2-2-6), and junior Jake Fish (1-3-5) tops the squad in assists.
• Coast Guard has rotated three players between the pipes with Hickey (0.74 GAA, .848 sv. pct) and junior Samuel Linkous (0.86 GAA, .800 sv. pct) getting six starts each and Putnam (.11 GAA, .762 sv. pct) getting the nod five times.
NEWMAC RACE TO THE FINISH
• After Wheaton (6-0-1) locked down the NEWMAC regular season title with its win on Tuesday, Babson (4-2-1, 13 pts) and Coast Guard (3-1-3, 12 pts) are battling for second place and a first-round bye heading into Saturday's regular season finale.
• Emerson (3-3-1, 10 pts) and Springfield (3-1-3, 10 pts) are tied for fourth and are aiming for home-field advantage in the NEWMAC Tournament opening round next Tuesday, with Salve Regina (2-2-3, 9 pts) trying to hold off WPI (2-4-1, 7 pts) for the final playoff spot.
HELPING HAND

Adam Stetson recorded their first career assist on Charles' 41st-minute goal last Saturday against WPI, and ironically all three players played at Northfield Mount Hermon prior to coming to Babson.

Maxi Martinez each picked up their second assist of the year on the Beavers' final two markers.
BEAVER BITES
• All eight wins for Babson this season came after the Beavers scored the opening goal of the match.
• Yablonovskiy, who has set a new career high with eight goals, has tallied four times over the last six games going back to October 4.
• Eight different players have scored at least one goal and 13 players have recorded a point this fall for the Beavers.
