SERIES HISTORY
•    Babson is 16-3-1 all-time against Gordon in a series that dates back to 1961. 
•    The Beavers have gone 15-1-1 versus the Fighting Scots since 1969 although the sides met just once between 1971-90 and renewed their series in 2024 following a 22-year hiatus. 
•    Babson and Gordon played to a 1-1 draw at Hartwell-Rogers Field in 2024. 
•    The teams have combined to score three or more goals in nine of their last 10 matchups going back to 1995. 

LAST MEETING
•    Sophomore Connor Hanrahan broke a scoreless deadlock at the 74:59 mark and classmate Will Boecher score less than two minutes later as Babson defeated Gordon, 3-1, on September 9, 2025, in Wenham, Mass. 
•    James Modiano '26 added an insurance goal in the 89th minute, Boecher and senior Alexander Yablonovskiy both recorded an assist, and junior goalkeeper JB Montague made a pair of second-half saves for the Beavers, who finished with a 20-9 edge in shots and an 8-1 advantage in corner kicks. 
•    Nathan Starzl scored in the 86th minute for the Fighting Scots, who got five saves from goalkeeper Riley Calemmo. 

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
•    Babson (0-0) returns nine starters and 25 players in all from a team that finished 11-7-4 and reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament last season. 
•    Yablonovskiy (10-4-24) earned All-NEWMAC and all-region honors while setting career highs in goals, assists and points, and Hanrahan added four goals and one assist for nine points for the Beavers, who return seven of their top eight scorers. 
•    Senior Titus Charles (3-1-7) and Boecher (2-3-7) combined for three game-winning goals, senior Will Lloyd contributed two goals and one assist, and seniors Huey Miller (1-3-5) and McKenzy Pierre (1-3-5) tied for third on the team in assists. 
•    Sophomore Blake Miller and junior Henry Bacon started 22 and 19 games, respectively, in front of Montague, who went 10-5-2 with a 0.80 goals against average and a .837 save percentage to go along with seven shutouts in 18 starts last fall. 

SCOUTING THE FIGHTING SCOTS
•    Gordon (0-0) returns 19 players, seven of which started at least 12 matches, from a team that finished 9-7-2 overall and tied for sixth in the CNE standings in 2025. 
•    The Fighting Scots got multiple goals from 10 different players last fall, and return five of their top seven scorers led by Sylver Godines(3-1-7), who led the squad with a pair of game-winning goals.
•    Cortez Cardone (2-26) and Santiago Hernandez (2-2-6) tied for the team lead in assists, while Zach Hutt (2-1-5) and Luke Lindas (2-1-5) both scored twice and combined for 10 points. 
•    Midfielder Will Goodling and defender Cody Dill started all 18 games in front of Calemmo, who went 7-6-2 with a 1.30 goals against average, a .746 save percentage and three shutouts in 14 starts. 

LOOKING BACK ON 2025
•    The Beavers went 4-0-2 over their first six games and then survived a 4-6-1 stretch that included all six losses by a single goal to claim their second consecutive NEWMAC Tournament title and fourth conference crown in the last five seasons. 
•    The Green and White edged SUNY Oneonta 1-0 in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament before suffering a 2-1 defeat at the hands of No. 7 Connecticut College. 
•    Yablonovskiy and Lloyd both earned United Soccer Coaches Region I honors after being named to the NEWMAC All-Conference first team, while Charles garnered all-league second-team laurels. 

LEGENDARY STATUS
•    Entering his 41st season at Babson, head coach Jon Anderson '75 ranks second among active Division III coaches with 482 wins since taking over at his alma mater in 1986, a number that trails only Paul McGinlay of Trinity (Texas).
•    Anderson, who boasts the fifth longest tenure among active coaches in all divisions of the NCAA behind only  Tony Tocco of Rockhurst (57th season), Tony Martone of Merrimack (45th season), Andy Smyth of Findlay (43rd season) and Frank Olszewski of Notre Dame Maryland (42nd season), is tied for 11th among Division III coaches and tied for 22nd in NCAA history in career wins. 
•    Anderson is also the active Division III leader with 98 draws in his 789 career games. With two more ties, he would join Dave Masur of St. John's (118) and George Kuntz of Cal State Fullerton (109) as the only coaches in NCAA history to reach 100. 
•    A four-time regional coach of the year, Anderson has led the Green and White to 17 conference championships and 22 NCAA Tournament appearances, and his guided his team to at least 11 victories in 20 of the last 21 campaigns going back to 2004. 

POLL POSITION
•    Babson, which has secured at least a share of four of the last seven NEWMAC regular season titles, claimed three first-place votes and was picked to finish second when the league released its preseason coaches' poll last week. 
•    The Beavers totaled 53 points to finish behind defending NEWMAC regular season champions Wheaton (67 points), which finished atop six of the nine ballots, while Coast Guard (49) and last year's conference tournament runner-up WPI (47) came in third and fourth, respectively. 

BEAVER BITES
•    Yablonovskiy joined Tyler Carlos '16, who scored 10 goals in 2015 and Ben Williams M'23, who tallied 13 times in 2022, as the only Babson players to score at least 10 goals over the last decade last fall. His 20 career goals are tied for 20th on Babson's all-time list and he enters the season with 48 career points. 
•    Lloyd has started each of Babson's 47 matches over the last two seasons and has been part of the starting XI in 48 straight games going back to the 2023 NCAA Tournament. 
•    Montague conceded just seven goals over the Beavers' final 12 games of the 2025 campaign while posting a 0.58 GAA and a .851 save percentage during this stretch. 

NUMBERS TO KNOW
•    Babson is 7-0-2 in its opening game of the season dating back to 2016. 
•    The Beavers went 7-0-1 last season and are unbeaten in their last 20 matches going back to the start of the 2024 campaign. 
•    The Green and White is 35-5-7 at home dating back to 2022. 
•    Since 2021, Babson is 33-2-2 when taking a lead into the halftime break.
