ROME, Ga.—Senior Matia Cristiani (San Salvador, El Salvador) advanced to the singles semifinals for the second time in her career highlighting day two of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Cup for the Babson College women's tennis team on Friday at the Rome Tennis Center.

Cristiani won the final five games of the opening set and cruised to a 6-2, 6-1 win over Jane Ling Chun Wong of Carnegie Mellon University. She is now 4-1 all-time in singles play at the ITA Cup and advanced to the semifinals for the second time in three years after winning her first two matches back in 2023.

Cristiani, who is the top seed in the 16-player singles draw, will meet Ananya Srinkiketh of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in a semifinal match at 9 a.m. on Saturday.

Cristiani and first-year Sandra Sikharulidze (Kyiv, Ukraine) suffered just their second loss of the fall in Friday afternoon's doubles quarterfinals, falling to the second-seeded duo of Lindsay Eisenman and Rebecca Kong of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.

Cristiani and Sikharulidze will face Kaya DeBruijn and Karina Elvestrom of Gustavus Adolphus College in their final doubles match of the weekend at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
