Elliot Perretta (Annecy, France) came in first among MacConnell Division competitors and was joined on the podium by first-year
James Rosenbloom (Stowe, Vt.) as the Babson College men's alpine ski team raced to victory in the giant slalom at Okemo Mountain on Monday afternoon.
The Beavers, who captured their second win in as many days after taking first in Sunday's slalom, finished just under seven seconds ahead of second-place Clarkson. UConn edged Castleton by 0.58 seconds for third and UMass came in fifth.
Sitting in second place following his first run, Perretta was the fastest league competitor down the hill in his second run to win by 0.84 seconds with a time of 2:26.03. Rosenblom placed third with a time of 2:37.03 and sophomore
Mads Fondevik Syversen (Oslo, Norway) was just 0.14 seconds behind him in fourth position.
First-year
Moksh Patel (Edgewater, N.J.) finished 12th with a two-run time of 2:31.49 and classmate
Jett Sheppard (Park City, Utah) was three spots behind him in 15th place with a time of 2:31.91.
Babson is back in action on Friday and Saturday when it travels to Proctor Ski Area in Andover, N.H., for a pair of slalom races.
