SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 7-6-3 all-time against Wesleyan in a series that dates back to 1980.
• Saturday's match will be the first between the Beavers and Cardinals in 29 years after the sides played every season from 1980-95.
LAST MEETING
• Andy Ouimette scored twice and Wesleyan erased a halftime deficit with four second-half goals in a 4-1 win over Babson on September 23, 1995, in Middletown, Conn.
• Steve Uydess tied the game in the 49th minute and Ouimette put the Cardinals ahead in the 63rd minute before Matt Melamed made it 3-1 with just over 10 minutes remaining.
• Matt Connelly '96 scored with 20 seconds left in the first half for the Beavers, who got four saves from Chris Goodman '98.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (1-0-1) is coming off a 2-1 victory over No. 12 Montclair State in its home opener last Sunday.

James Donaldson scored twice in the span of 73 seconds early in the second half and senior goalkeeper
Walker White made two saves over the final 45 minutes for the Beavers, who have lost just once in their last 15 matches going back to last year.

Alexander Yablonovskiy each picked up an assist in last Sunday's win, and White (0.50 GAA, .750 save pct.) has conceded only a penalty kick in two starts.
• The Green and White has five starters and 24 players in all back from a team that reached the NCAA Tournament and finished with a record of 11-4-7 in 2023.
SCOUTING THE CARDINALS
• Wesleyan (1-0) opened its season with a 1-0 win at Western New England on Tuesday.
• Zach Feldman scored his first career goal off service from Joshwin Jennings in the 67th minute and Mathis Blanc made two saves for the Cardinals, who outshot the Golden Bears 16-9 in the contest.
• Wesleyan returns 23 players from a team that went 5-6-5 and reached the NESCAC Tournament quarterfinals last season.
• Lucas Ruehlemann led the team in scoring with five goals and 10 points, Zack Burd scored three times and had one assist, and Blanc went 5-2-3 with a 0.86 goals against average and a five shutouts in 11 appearances last fall.
DONALDSON EARNS NEWMAC RECOGNITION
• Thanks to his brace in the win over Montclair State, Donaldson was selected as the NEWMAC Offensive Co-Player of the Week on Tuesday.
• Donaldson, who scored nine goals over his final two seasons at Trinity, tallied twice in the Bantams' 2-2 draw with Wesleyan in 2023.
GETTING TO KNOW THE NESCAC
• Wesleyan is the first of four NESCAC opponents the Beavers will face this fall.
• The Green and White will host No. 2 Amherst, the defending Division III national runner-up, on September 24 before visiting 10th-ranked Tufts on October 1 and No. 5 Middlebury on October 13.
• Babson went 1-1-1 versus NESCAC foes last season with a win over Amherst and a draw with Tufts, and is 1-3-3 against the conference over the last two years.
VETERAN PRESENCE
• Babson's 2024 features six seniors and six graduate students, a group that includes
Samuel Kalishman,
Lorenzo Mancini and
Liam Rhatigan, who are all in their fifth year with the program.
• In addition to Donaldson (Trinity) and Abe (Maryland), the Beavers also added graduate transfers
Marco Cerezo from Connecticut College and
Tyler Fidrych from UConn.
• Kalishman earned all-league honors, while Rhatigan scored a career-high four goals.
PATROLLING THE SIDELINES
• Head coach
Jon Anderson '75, now in his 39th season, is currently the second longest tenured head coach in Division III behind only Jay Martin of Ohio Wesleyan, who began his 47th season last week.
• Anderson, who will coach the 745th game of his career on Saturday, ranks third among active Division III coaches and 13th all-time with 455 wins.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
• Going back to last season, Babson is unbeaten in nine consecutive road games (4-0-5) with each of the last five ending in a draw.
• Over its last 14 matches dating back to September 30 of last season, the Beavers have conceded just one first-half goal.
• The Green and White is 36-1-3 going back to the start of the 2021 campaign when scoring the opening goal of the game.
• Going back to 2021, Babson is 25-1-1 when scoring at least two goals.
