Women's Volleyball Hosts Brandeis and Endicott on Saturday

WHAT TO KNOW

•    After picking up its first road win of the season on Tuesday, Babson returns home to host Brandeis and Endicott in a tri-match on Saturday afternoon. 

SERIES HISTORY
vs. Brandeis

•    Babson is 14-25 all-time against the Judges in a series that dates back to 1975. 
•    The Beavers have dominated the series as of late with seven consecutive victories over Brandeis dating back to 2014, including a three-set sweep (25-22, 25-23, 25-15) last year in Waltham, Mass. 
•    Saturday's match marks just the third time Babson will face the Judges inside Staake Gymnasium going back to 2009. 

vs. Endicott
•    Babson is 12-9 all-time against the Gulls in a series that goes back to 1980.
•    The teams have split their last four matches dating back to 2021 and each of the last eight contests between the Beavers and Endicott have been decided in four or five sets. 
•    The Green and White has won three straight matches against the Gulls inside Staak Gymnasium going back to 2017, which includes a four-set triumph (32-30, 21-25, 26-24, 25-11) last season.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
•    Babson (7-1) enters the weekend riding a three-match winning streak following a 3-0 victory at Simmons on Tuesday night. 
•    Junior Isabella Allen hit .556 and registered 10 kills, senior Lauren Gips added seven kills and two blocks and sophomore Zoe Ackerman dished out 30 assists to go along with two service aces for the Beavers, who hit .312 as a team in the win. 
•    Allen (2.53 kills/set) owns a .308 hitting percentage, Gips (2.44 k/s, 0.80 blocks/set) is hitting a team-best .375 and senior Lauren Griffin is contributing 2.11 kills per game.
•    Ackerman is dishing out 8.63 assists per set and leads the team with 23 service aces, junior Sophia Shaw leads the Green and White in both total digs (101) and digs per set (4.21), and junior Roz Cabuena is averaging 2.64 digs per set over the last four matches. 

SCOUTING THE JUDGES
•    Brandeis (7-4) has split its last six matches and is coming off a 3-2 win over Springfield last Saturday. 
•    Anna Ertischek, who hit .556, and Lara Verstovsek both finished with 15 kill and four blocks, while Samantha Lin added 25 assists and seven digs for the Judges, who hit .247 over the final three sets to erase a 2-0 deficit. 
•    Verstovsek is averaging a team-high 3.65 kills and 3.02 digs per set, Ertischek (3.23 k/s) is hitting .298 and Kennedy Lilly is contributing 1.79 kills per set while hitting .232. 
•    Lin and Alexa Ho have combined to hand out 9.94 assists per set, Alina Nowakowski is averaging a team-high 0.83 blocks per set, and Isabella Irizarry leads the squad at 3.49 digs per set. 

SCOUTING THE GULLS
•    Endicott (6-3) wrapped up its weekend in San Antonio, Texas, with a 3-0 victory over Covenant last Saturday. 
•    Hadley Helenbrook finished with 17 kills and 10 digs, Ava Grace Dresback added 13 kills and Hannah Maguire chipped in with 30 assists and nine digs for the Gulls, who also recorded a five-set win over No. 15 Trinity last Friday. 
•    Helenbrook (4.71 k/s, 2.69 d/s) is hitting .275, Dresback is averaging 2.68 kills and 1.82 digs per set, and Stephanie Moreau is contributing 1.51 kills per set to go along with a team-high 25 total blocks. 
•    Maguire is doling out 9.37 assists per set to go along with 2.91 digs and a team-high 16 service aces, while Emma Ruel is averaging a team-high 2.97 digs per set. 

CASE CLOSED
•    Allen recorded a career-high 17 kills and hit .357 in the Beavers' four-set win over Brandeis back in 2022.
•    Gips recorded 10 kills and three aces, and senior Tatum Stelter finished with 23 digs in Babson's 2022 victory over the Judges. 

GOOD AGAINST THE GULLS
•    In four career matches against Endicott, Stelter has totaled 47 digs and nine service aces while averaging 2.61 digs per set. 
•    Gips has recorded 17 kills and 10 blocks to go along with a .292 hitting percentage in a pair of matches versus Endicott over the last two seasons. 

STREAKING BEAVERS
•    First-year Angelina Holm, who recorded a season-high six total blocks in the Beavers' September 7 win over then-14th-ranked Wesleyan, has at least one block in five consecutive matches. 
•    Going back to the second round of the 2022 NCAA Tournament, Gips has at least one block in 21 consecutive matches. 
•    Stelter, who ranks fifth in program history with 173 service aces, has at least one in 10 straight matches going back to last year. 
•    Allen has registered double-digit kills in back-to-back matches while hitting .422. 
•    Griffin has recorded at least four kills in each of Babson's eight matches this fall.

NUMBERS TO KNOW
•    The Beavers rank seventh in Division III in opponents hitting percentage (.061) and are 26-0 since the start of last year when their foes hit .150 or worse. 
•    Babson ranks third nationally in aces per set (3.93) and are 27-2 over the last two years when recording more aces than its opponents. 
•    The Green and White has won 18 of its last 19 matches at home and is 132-17 inside Staake Gymnasium under head coach Eric Neely since 2011. 
•    Babson is 53-5 since the start of the 2022 campaign when recording more kills than its foes.
