SERIES HISTORY

•    Babson is 42-9-6 all-time against WPI in a series that dates back to 1974.
•    The Beavers are unbeaten in their last seven matches against the Engineers (3-0-4) dating back to 2018. 
•    The Green and White is 8-0-3 versus WPI in Worcester since 2003 although six of the contests have gone to overtime, which includes last year's NEWMAC Tournament final going to penalty kicks. 

LAST MEETING
•    After playing to a 1-1 draw through 110 minutes, WPI edged Babson 3-2 on penalty kicks in the NEWMAC Tournament final on November 4, 2023, in Worcester, Mass. 
•    Joseph Cardaropoli '24 gave the Beavers the lead in the 26th minute before Aaron Vaz equalized in the 60th minute for the Engineers, who got the decisive penalty kick from Anthony Previte. 
•    Junior Joao Araujo and Louis Gazo '24 converted penalties for Babson, which got 11 saves from senior goalkeeper Walker White
•    Ryan Martin stopped five shots for WPI, which outshot the Green and White 26-14 in the match. 

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
•    No. 20 Babson (3-0-3, 0-0-0 NEWMAC) remained unbeaten with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Roger Williams on Tuesday afternoon. 
•    Araujo converted a first-half penalty kick and junior James Modiano scored the go-ahead goal in the 75th minute for the Beavers, who got one save from White. 
•    Graduate student James Donaldson (2-1-5), Modiano (1-2-4) and sophomore Alexander Yablonovskiy (1-1-3) have reach registered a game-winning goal, while Araujo and senior Matias Gutierrez have both scored once on the year. 
•    White has started all six matches and boasts a 0.50 goals against average and a .850 save percentage to go along with three shutouts. 

SCOUTING THE ENGINEERS
•    No. 22 WPI (5-2-0, 0-0-0 NEWMAC) has dropped back-to-back games after suffering a 2-0 loss to preseason No. 1 Amherst on Tuesday night. 
•    Julian Quaresima made five of his seven saves in the second half for the Engineers, who fell behind in the 53rd minute and were shutout for the second consecutive match. 
•    Fabio Bastida-Andreeu has produced three goals and one assist for seven points and Vaz (1-2-4) leads the team in assists for an offense that saw nine different players score over the first five games. 
•    Quaresima has started six of seven games going 4-2 with a 0.83 goals against average, a .815 save percentage and two clean sheets. 

TOP OF THE POLL
•    The Beavers earned four first-place votes and 60 points to finish atop the NEWMAC preseason coaches' poll back in August. 
•    Babson finished five points ahead of second-place WPI, the defending regular season and tournament champions, while Wheaton was two points behind the Engineers in third place. 

STREAKING BEAVERS
•    The Green and White owns a 22-game conference unbeaten streak (18-0-4) that dates back to October 30, 2021. 
•    Babson is 15-0-6 on the road against NEWMAC foes dating back to September 15, 2018. 
•    The Beavers are unbeaten in their last 10 road matches against all opponents, which includes six consecutive draws going back to last year. 

TOUGH TO CRACK
•    The Beavers, who are unbeaten through six games for the first time since 2012, enter Saturday's contest riding a 16-game regular season unbeaten streak (8-0-8) that stretches back to September 27 of last year. 
•    During this run the Green and White has posted 10 shutouts while conceding just seven goals. 
•    Overall, Babson has lost just once in its last 19 matches (9-1-9) going back to late September 2023.

WHITE COLLECTS CONFERENCE HONOR
•    After going 1-0-1 with a 0.50 goals against average and a .857 save percentage with one shutout in two starts, White was selected as the NEWMAC Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. 
•    He has allowed just two goal from the run of play in six starts on the year and is 28-7-13 with 21 clean sheets in 48 career starts over three seasons.

NUMBERS TO KNOW
•    The Beavers are 3-0-1 this season and 38-1-4 since 2021 when scoring the first goal of the match. 
•    Babson has been in front or tied going into halftime in nine straight games dating back to last year's NEWMAC semifinals. 
•    The Green and White is 14-1-9 going back to the start of last season when conceding one goal or fewer.
•    Each of Babson's last 11 outings have been decided by a single goal or finished in a tie.
