SERIES HISTORY
•    Babson is 36-58 all-time against Wheaton in a series that dates back to 1998.
•    The Beavers defeated the Lyons 6-4 on April 23 in Babson Park and were 2-1 winners at Wheaton on April 30 before dropping Saturday's winner's bracket game. 
•    The teams have split their last 26 games going back to 2017. 

POSTSEASON HISTORY
•    The Beavers are 12-16 all-time versus the Lyons in the conference playoffs. 
•    Sunday's game will be the ninth in the NEWMAC Tournament between the teams over the last four seasons, and Babson and Wheaton have met at least once in every conference tournament going back to 2016. 

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
•    Third-seeded Babson (27-10) has won seven consecutive games after defeating second-seeded Coast Guard, 12-10, on Thursday. 
•    Graduate student John Nowak hit a three-run homer and finished with a season-high five RBI, senior Tanner Santos went 2-for-4 with an RBI and three runs scored and five relievers combined to allow just one run over the final 4.1 frames for the Beavers, who went in front for good with an eight-run fourth inning. 
•    Santos, who returned from a seven-game absence on Thursday, is batting .352 with eight extra-base hits, 25 RBI, 21 stolen bases and 36 runs scored, senior Brant Savage is hitting .344 with 21 doubles, six homers, 32 RBI and 30 runs scored, and graduate student Luke Tanner enters the weekend with a .316 average to go along with 12 doubles, two triples, four home runs, 35 RBI and 30 runs scored. 
•    First-year Jason Finkelstein (8-1, 4.97 ERA) has recorded 54 strikeouts in 54.1 innings, junior Luke McClintock (1-2, 2.35 ERA) is holding opposing hitters to a .226 average in 31.2 innings of work over 17 appearances, and sophomore Zander Teator (4-1, 2.84 ERA) has record five saves and a 0.68 WHIP while striking out 23 and holding opposing hitters to a .136 average in 19.0 innings out of the bullpen.

SCOUTING THE LYONS
•    Fourth-seeded Wheaton (23-12) has won six consecutive games after defeating top-seeded and fourth-ranked Salve Regina, 5-2, on Thursday. 
•    Mike Maher went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI and Aiden Cardoza gave up two runs and scatted nine hits in a complete-game effort for the Lyons, who got sacrifice flies from both Timmy Wagner and Tyler Bellan in the victory. 
•    Casey Wensley is batting .349 with nine extra-base hits, 26 RBI and 21 runs scored, Maher is hitting .344 with nine doubles, two triples, two homers, 29 RBI and 32 runs scored, and Wagner checks in at .333 with nine doubles, four home runs and 24 runs batted in on the year. 
•    Ben Oliveira (5-2, 3.73 ERA, 41.0 IP) has allowed just two earned runs over his last two starts, Jackson Walsh is 4-0 with a 4.34 ERA over 37.1 innings in 21 appearances out of the bullpen and Liam Goldthwaite (0-0) boasts a 1.86 ERA and has recorded 26 strikeouts in 19.1 innings of relief on the year. 

NOONE REACHES 500-WIN MILESTONE
•    Babson head coach Matt Noone picked up the 500th win of his career as the Beavers defeated Salve Regina on Saturday. 
•    He is now part of a fraternity that includes 32 active Division III coaches with at least 500 wins and a .600 winning percentage. 

CLARK EARNS CONFERENCE RECOGNITION
•    After recording a career-high nine strikeouts and allowing just one hit over 7.0 shutout innings on Saturday against Springfield, sophomore James Clark was tabbed as the NEWMAC Pitcher of the Week on Monday. 
•    He retired 17 of the first 19 batters he faced and carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning to improve to 5-2 on the year with the victory. 

SAVAGE BREAKS DOUBLES RECORD
•    With his opposite field RBI double in the bottom of the sixth against UMass Boston on Sunday, Savage set a new single-season program record with his 19th two-bagger of the year. 
•    He became the first player in program history with 20 doubles in a season on Tuesday after bettering the previous mark of 18 doubles set by Dave Ahern '11 during his All-America campaign as a senior back in 2011. 

REGIONAL IMPACT
•    Babson, Salve Regina and Coast Guard gave the NEWMAC three teams in the latest NCAA Region I rankings, which were released on Wednesday. 
•    The Beavers, who boast the region's second highest strength of schedule (.581), are second behind Salve Regina, while the Bears are fifth behind NESCAC leaders Middlebury and Colby. 

CALL TO THE 'PEN
•    Teator, McClintock, graduate student Zach Magee, senior Jimmy Weick and sophomore Connor Doan combined to allow just one run over 4.1 innings in Thursday's win at Coast Guard. 
•    Weick recorded four outs in his postseason debut to pick up his first win of the season, while the trio of McClintock, Magee and Teator have combined to record five strikeouts over 5.2 scoreless innings in Babson's first two NEWMAC Tournament games. 

STREAKING INTO THE POSTSEASON
•    Tanner owns an 12-game hitting streak and is batting .367 with nine doubles, a triple, a home run, 11 RBI and 11 runs scored during this stretch. 
•    Nowak has reached base in each of his 26 starts this season and is batting .386 with two doubles, four homers and 17 RBI to go along with a .490 on-base percentage and a .707 slugging percentage over his last 12 outings. 
•    Junior Justin Guest has a hit in each of his last six games and has reached base safely in seven consecutive outings.

PLAYING FROM IN FRONT
•    Since falling behind in a 4-3 loss game-one loss to WPI back on April 21, the Beavers have scored first in 12 consecutive games. 
•    Babson has outscored its opponents 89-49 during this stretch, which includes a 33-7 edge over the first three innings.

•    Babson is 20-4 this season when outhitting its opponents. 
•    The Beavers are 12-3 this spring in games decided by one or two runs.
