SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
•    Babson (13-6) defeated Clark, 4-0, in game two of Saturday's doubleheader to extend its winning streak to 10 games. 
•    First-year Jason Finkelstein tossed seven shutout innings and graduate student Luke Tanner, seniors Brant Savage and Jack Julian and first-year Alexander Wilson each drove in a run for the Beavers, who beat the Cougars 2-1 in game one of the twin bill. 
•    Savage is batting .392 with 12 doubles, five home runs, 20 RBI and 19 runs scored, Wilson is hitting .352 with four doubles, two homers, 12 RBI and 16 runs scored, and senior Tanner Santos boasts a .477 on-base percentage and a .338 average to go along with six doubles, 11 stolen bases, 18 RBI and a team-high 23 runs scored. 
•    Sophomore James Clark is 2-1 with a 5.19 ERA and 24 strikeouts in 26.0 innings, senior Jimmy Wieck (0-1, 1.00 ERA) is holding opposing hitters to a .171 average in eight appearances out of the bullpen and graduate student Zach Magee (5.23 ERA) has one save in nine relief appearances on the year. 

SCOUTING THE HAWKS
•    Hartford (4-14-1) has dropped 10 of its last 11 games and is coming off a 15-8 setback against Eastern Nazarene on Sunday. 
•    Jake Santiago went 2-for-4 with a triple, two RBI and three runs scored, Jackson Ciccone was 3-for-5 with a double and Jeremy Mangiameli singled twice and drove in a pair of runs for the Hawks, who led 8-3 after five innings. 
•    Alek Popovich is batting .400 with seven extra-base hits, 13 RBI and 15 runs scored, Ciccone is hitting .357 with four extra-base hits, eight RBI and a team-high 18 runs scored, and Mangiameli enters the week with a .283 average to go along with three doubles, two homers and 13 runs batted in. 
•    Joe Dooley is 0-2 with a 5.84 ERA and 21 strikeouts in 24.2 innings pitched, Michael Featherstone (1-0, 5.11 ERA) has 16 strikeouts in 12.1 inning of relief and Joe Ferruci (0-0, 6.91 ERA) has pitched 14.1 innings over five appearances out of the bullpen. 

FINKELSTEIN COLLECTS CONFERENCE HONOR
•    After winning his fourth straight decision on Saturday, Finkelstein was selected as the NEWMAC Pitcher of the Week on Monday. 
•    He gave up just two hits while striking out four over 7.0 innings as the Beavers defeated Clark, 4-0. 
•    Finkelstein, who has not allowed a run over his last two starts, is 4-1 with a 4.24 ERA and 34 strikeouts in 34.0 innings over six appearances this spring, and is holding opposing hitters to a .215 average. 

STRONG STARTS
•    Finkelstein became the fourth consecutive Babson starter to go at least seven innings while allowing three runs or fewer over the last week. 
•    Sophomore Connor Doan tossed 7.0 shutout innings in a 10-3 win over UMass Dartmouth on April 1, Clark allowed three runs over 7.0 innings in last Tuesday's victory over MIT and graduate student Greg Nieskens gave up one run and matched his season with 8.0 innings pitched and five strikeouts in a 2-1 victory over Clark in game one on Saturday. 
•    Going back to junior Luke McClintock's six shutout innings versus Suffolk on March 27, a stretch of seven games, the Beavers' starting pitchers have gone 6-0 with a 1.17 ERA and a 0.78 WHIP over 46.1 innings. 

STREAKING BEAVERS
•    Babson's current 10-game winning streak is its longest since stringing together 11 straight victories from March 24-April 5, 2019. 
•    Graduate student John Nowak owns a five-game hitting streak, while Julian and sophomore Ryan Hvozdovic have both reached base safely in 11 consecutive outings. 

DOUBLES VISION
•    Savage enters the week ranked third in Division III in doubles per game (0.63) and is fifth with 12 total two-baggers on the year. 

NUMBERS TO KNOW
•    The Beavers are 12-3 this season when finishing with more hits than their opponents. 
•    Babson is 10-0 on the year and has won 12 straight games when allowing five runs or fewer going back to 2023. 
•    The Green and White is 10-1 this spring when leading after six innings.
•    Babson is 9-1 this season when its pitching staff allows two extra-base hits or fewer.
