SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 35-57 all-time against Wheaton in a series that dates back to 1998.
• The Beavers have dropped 10 of their last 13 games to the Lyons going back to the 2021 NEWMAC Tournament on the heels of winning 10 of 11 meetings between the teams from 2017-19.

Luke Tanner both had two hits and knocked in two runs apiece to help the Beavers defeat Wheaton, 6-4, last Tuesday in Babson Park.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (21-10, 9-4 NEWMAC) split a pair of extra-inning games at Coast Guard on Saturday, winning the nightcap 6-4 in 10 innings.

Brant Savage hit a game-tying homer in the eighth inning, Tanner was 2-for-5 with a double and two runs scored, and first-year
Dante D'Avanzo went 2-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored and knocked in the go-ahead run in the top of the 10th inning for the Beavers.
• Savage is batting .365 with 17 doubles, six home runs, 30 RBI and 25 runs scored, Santos is hitting .347 with eight extra-base hits, 20 stolen bases, 24 RIB and a team-high 33 runs scored, and Tanner has raised his average to .301 to go along with eight doubles, four homers, 33 RBI and 27 runs scored.

SCOUTING THE LYONS
• Wheaton (17-11, 10-5 NEWMAC) has won its last two games after defeating Roger Williams, 8-5, on Sunday afternoon.
• Tyler Bellan went 4-for-4 with three runs scored, Guindon was 3-for-5 with three RBI and two runs scored, and Ben Oliveira allowed just two runs while striking out six over 7.0 innings for the Lyons, who took the lead on an RBI triple by Maher in the bottom of the third.
• Maher is batting .359 with 10 extra-base hits, 23 RBI and 27 runs scored, Wensley is hitting .340 with six doubles, a triple, 18 RBI and 14 runs scored, and Wagner checks in with a .333 average to go along with seven doubles, four home runs, 21 RBI and 14 runs scored.
• Jackson Walsh is 4-0 with two saves and a 3.67 ERA in 34.1 innings over 18 appearances out of the bullpen, Liam Goldthwaite (0-0, 2.20 ERA) is holding opposing hitters to a .217 average in 16.1 innings, and Josh Fischer is 0-3 with a 5.09 ERA with 13 strikeouts in 17.2 innings this spring.
NEWMAC TOURNAMENT SCENARIOS
• The Beavers enter the final week of the regular season in third place in the NEWMAC standings at 9-4 and are a game behind second-place Coast Guard (10-3) and two games back of first-place Salve Regina (12-2) in the loss column.
• A victory over Wheaton on Tuesday would mean that Babson could finish no worse than the third seed with one win over Springfield on Saturday. A loss to the Lyons would likely leave the Green and White as the fourth seed in next week's conference tournament.
WORKING OVERTIME
• Following a stretch of 42 games without going to extra innings over parts of the last two seasons, each of Babson's last three outings have been decided in the 10th inning.
• Prior to last week, the Beavers had not had back-to-back games decided in extras since March of 2012 and based on available records, they had not played three straight extra-inning contests dating back to at least 1995.
COMING THROUGH IN THE CLUTCH
• In addition to Savage's game-tying home run with one out in the top of the eighth inning, a number of players came through in the late innings to help the Beavers earn a split with the Bears on Saturday.
• Tanner led off the top of the 10th with a double and scored to give the Green and White the lead on D'Avanzo's single to right.

Justin Guest contributed an RBI ground out and Teator recorded his longest outing of the season (3.0 IP), striking out two and allowing just one hit, to earn the win.
STREAKING BEAVERS
• Savage extended his hitting streak to 13 games on Saturday and has driven in a run in three straight and five of the last six contests.
• Tanner owns a six-game hitting streak and is batting .393 (11-for-28) with five doubles, a homer and nine RBI.
• Nowak has reached base in each of his 20 starts this spring and is second on the team with a .466 on-base percentage.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Beavers are 17-2 this season when allowing five runs or fewer.
• Babson is 8-3 in games decided by one or two runs.
• The Green and White is 16-1 when leading after seven innings.
• Babson is 17-4 when outhitting its opponents and have recorded at least two extra-base hits in 16 of its 21 victories on the year.
