Andrew Watson (Charlottesville, Va.) earned points in both singles and doubles to help 29th-ranked Babson College defeat the Coast Guard Academy, 5-1, in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) men's tennis semifinal on Saturday afternoon at the Babson Tennis Courts.
The second-seeded Beavers recorded their seventh consecutive victory to improve to 14-8 overall while advancing to the conference tournament final for the ninth time in the last 10 tries. The third-seeded Bears see their season come to a close at 10-6.

Jose Gonzalez (Mexico City, Mexico) defeated Brendan Love (Winchester, Va.) 6-2, 6-0 at number six singles, while Watson recorded a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Logan De Los Santos (Tula, Okla.) at number five to give the Green and White a 4-1 advantage in the match. First-year
Kerem Ozlale (Istanubul, Turkey) secured the clinching point with a 6-3, 6-3 triumph over Norman at number two singles.
Wilson was up a set and tied at 5-5 in the second against Lacoste at number one, Lepsoe won a first-set tiebreaker at number three and Choi and Bonetto were tied at a set apiece at number four when the match was decided.
Babson travels to Cambridge, Mass., to face No. 21 MIT in the NEWMAC Tournament final on Sunday at 12 p.m.
