• After having Tuesday's match versus No. 28 MIT postponed due to rain, the Babson men's tennis team will return to action for the first time since March 21 with a pair of NEWMAC matches on Friday and a trip to Haverford on Saturday.

• No. 9 Babson (8-3, 1-0 NEWMAC) has dropped back-to-back matches to top-10 foes after concluding the Stag-Hen Invitational with a 7-0 loss to seventh-ranked Bowdoin back on March 21.

Sebastian Mendoza rallied force a third set in losses at number two and three singles, respectively, after the Beavers dropped two of the three doubles matches to the Polar Bears in tiebreakers.

• The Lions (7-6, 2-1 NEWMAC) have won two straight matches and are coming off a 6-1 victory over Coast Guard on Sunday afternoon.
• Filippo Nocchi at number one, Connor Leung at number two and Adam Alireza at number three all rallied for three-set victories in singles as five different players recorded wins in both singles and doubles for the Lions.
• Nocchi is 10-3 at number one singles, Leung is 9-3 at number two, Alireza (8-3) has won five consecutive matches at number three and Tai Finestone is 10-5 overall with five wins at number four singles.
• Nocchi and Leung are 10-3 at number one doubles, Finestone and Cameron McAllister are 5-2 at number two and the duo of Alireza and Ciaden Riebold are 8-2 in all matches and 5-0 at number three doubles.
SCOUTING WHEATON
• The Lyons (6-3, 0-1 NEWMAC) dropped its conference opener 4-3 at Springfield to snap a four-match winning streak last Saturday against Springfield.
• Jaime Galligo and Landon Wyshner were 6-3 winners at number one doubles and also recorded victories at first and third singles, respectively, for Wheaton, which also got a three-set triumph from Paul Berteaux at number four singles in the loss to the Pride.
• Galligo is 6-2 at number one singles, Wysher is a perfect 8-0 at number two, Berteaux (7-1) is riding a five-match winning streak in all matches and Jake Murray (6-2) is 3-1 this spring at number five.
• Galligo and Wyshner have won four straight matches to improve to 7-3 at number one doubles, while Berteaux and Pablo Munoz are 3-4 with wins in both the second and third doubles slots.
SCOUTING HAVERFORD
• The Fords (6-8) had swept its last three matches before suffering a 5-2 loss at TCNJ on Wednesday afternoon.
• Caden Hsia and Lucio Kombo won 6-3 at number three doubles, while Niki Lavu and Robbie Vazquez recorded straight-set victories at first and third singles, respectively for the Haverford, which is 0-6 on the year against nationally-ranked foes.
• Lavu is 3-0 at number one singles and 9-2 on the year in all matches, Teo Bortan (6-5) owns victories at second through fifth singles, and Hsia and Stefan Johnson have both won four times in dual match play this season.
• Vazquez and Marko Arboldea are 3-6 at number one doubles, Bortan and Johnson are 2-5 at number two and six different pairings have recorded a win at number three doubles.
BEAVERS SWEEP NEWMAC WEEKLY HONORS
• After defeating Whitman and Colorado College to being the trip before upsetting No. 2 Chicago in the opening round of the Stag-Hen Invitational back on 20, Babson swept last week's conference accolades.
• Mendoza was tabbed as the NEWMAC Player of the Week after going 2-2 at number three singles, which includes rallying for a 5-7, 6-2, 7-6 victory over Alexander Ekstrand to secure the clinching point in the Beavers' 4-3 triumph over Chicago.
• Merson and Zlobinsky went 3-1 at number one doubles including a 6-1 win over Chicago's pairing of Jack Wong and Robert Zhang and a 7-5 victory over Alex Ganchev and Sacha Maes of fifth-ranked Tufts in the Stag-Hen Tournament semifinals.
MOVING UP THE CHARTS
• Wang's 34 singles wins are tied for 10th on the Beavers' all-time list with
Wesley Zhang '25, and his 36 doubles victories are also tied for 11th in program history with Saif Rahim '16 and Ben Roque '18.
• Mendoza's 38 doubles wins currently rank ninth on Babson's career list, while Wang (70) and Merson (66) rank 11th and 13th, respectively, on the program's all-time combined wins chart.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Beavers have won 10 consecutive matches against NEWMAC foes going back to the start of last season.
• Babson is 3-3 versus top-30 teams this spring and has gone 11-6 against top-40 foes over the last two years.
• The Green and White is 6-1 this season when claiming the doubles point with the lone loss coming against fifth-ranked Tufts in the semifinals of the Stag-Hen Invitational back on March 21.
