WHAT TO KNOW
• Second-seeded Babson will host third-seeded Coast Guard in a NEWMAC Tournament semifinal on Saturday at noon at the Babson Tennis Courts.
• The Beavers are seeking their second conference title in four years and first since winning the 2021 crown.
SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 24-7 against the Bears going back to 2001.
• The Beavers have won 16 of the last 17 matches between the teams with the only loss since 2012 coming in New London in 2022.
• The Green and White have won eight consecutive NEWMAC Tournament matches over the Bears, six of which came in the semifinals, including last year's 5-1 verdict in Babson Park.

• Then-No. 32 Babson got wins in both singles and doubles from juniors

• Senior
Jose Gonzalez also recorded a singles win for the Beavers, who led 2-1 after doubles and captured five of the six singles matches.
• Senior Myles Decoste led the Bears with triumphs at number one singles and with classmate Charles Norman at number one doubles.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• No. 29 Babson (13-8, 6-1 NEWMAC) brings a six-match winning streak into the weekend, including a 9-0 whitewash of No. 37 Hobart in Sunday's regular-season finale.
• The Beavers picked up points in both singles and doubles from graduate students

Logan Back were on winning doubles teams.
• Wilson (14-5) is 7-2 in dual matches, including 5-1 at number one singles, while Ozlale (15-7) is 11-3 in dual matches, including a combined 8-2 in the top two flights. Lepsoe (9-3) has all of his wins in the top three singles flights, Watson (10-4) is 4-2 at number four, and Gonzalez (15-11) shares the team lead in victories, including 4-3 at number five.
• Back (12-12) is 4-2 in doubles in conference play, Lepsoe (8-8) is 4-3 against NEWMAC opponents and sophomore
Martin Mejia (10-8) is 4-0 in conference dual matches.
SCOUTING THE BEARS
• Coast Guard (10-5, 4-2 NEWMAC) has won its last two matches, including an 8-1 victory over Wheaton in the regular season finale on Saturday in New London, Conn.
• The Bears swept the doubles matches and took the top five singles matches in straight sets. Decoste, Norman, and fellow seniors Sean Dreher and Logan De Los Santos were perfect for the day, winning all of their doubles and singles contests.
• Decoste and Norman remained perfect in NEWMAC action, going undefeated at the number one doubles position for the second straight year.
NEWMAC WEEKLY HONORS
• Lepsoe was named NEWMAC Singles Athlete of the Week and Lepsoe and Back were tabbed as Doubles Team of the Week on Monday afternoon.
• Lepsoe was honored as the top weekly singles player for the second straight week and a member of the doubles team in the week for the third time this season. Back is a first-time selection of a NEWMAC weekly honor.
CONFERENCE SUCCESS
• The Beavers have posted a 19-3 regular season record against NEWMAC foes over the past three seasons, and a 54-9 mark going back to 2013.
• The only conference losses in the past 10 years were to MIT (eight times) and Coast Guard (once, in 2022).
TOURNAMENT HISTORY
• Babson is 22-22 all-time in the NEWMAC Tournament, which dates back to 1999.
• The Green and White are 13-6 all-time in semifinals matches, with wins in eight of the last nine.
TOURNAMENT SET-UP
• Top-seeded and defending champion MIT is hosting fourth-seeded Clark in the other semifinal on Saturday in Cambridge.
• The two semifinal winners will meet on Sunday for the championship at the site of the higher remaining seed.
