Tuesday, April 16 | 3:30 p.m.
Corash Tennis Courts | Worcester, Mass.

SERIES HISTORY

•    Babson is 26-2 against Clark going back to 1994.
•    The Beavers have won 22 consecutive matches against the Cougars, which includes 10 straight 9-0 victories since 2011.

LAST MEETING
•    Junior Olivia Soffer and sophomores Matia Cristiani, Mariana Campos and Kamila Stasiowska all recorded wins in both singles and doubles to help the Beavers defeat Clark, 9-0, on April 2, 2023, in Babson Park.
•    Senior Jane Wang and sophomore Grace Starcher also posted straight-set victories in singles for Babson, which dropped just two games in three doubles matches and two games in six singles contests.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
•    No. 20 Babson (8-4, 4-0 NEWMAC) snapped a two-match skid with a 6-3 win over No. 28 Brandeis on Sunday.
•    Olivia Soffer, Cristiani and first-year Chaniel Soffer all recorded points in singles and doubles for the Beavers, who also got a 6-0, 6-2 victory by Campos at number six singles.
•    Olivia Soffer is ranked first in the region and is 15-2 overall and 9-1 at number one singles, Cristiani (21-2), who is ranked fourth in the region, has won 10 consecutive matches and junior Laetitia Rizk (8-7) and Chaniel Soffer (7-7) are both 4-6 in dual-match competition this spring.
•    Cristiani and Olivia Soffer are 23-2 overall and 9-1 at number one doubles, senior Adele Fernandez and Chaniel Soffer are 6-3 at number two doubles and the duo of senior Juliette Moschella and first-year Dana Kamal are 1-2 at number three.

SCOUTING THE COUGARS
•    Clark (3-7, 0-4 NEWMAC) has dropped its last three matches and suffered a 9-0 loss at Springfield on Saturday.
•    The Cougars also have been swept by No. 19 MIT and Smith, and got a 6-4, 6-3 victory from Hannah Russo in an 8-1 loss to Wheaton back on March 30.
•    Clark has dropped its last 33 NEWMAC matches going back to a 6-3 win over Smith in April 2018.

RECORD IN REACH
•    Olivia Soffer, who is already the program's all-time leader in singles (67) and combined victories (126), enters Tuesday's match just one win shy of matching the Beavers' all-time record for doubles wins.
•    One more doubles victory would match the program's all-time record of 60 set by Francesca Russo '06 from 2002-06.

CLIMBING THE RANKS
•    With two wins versus Brandeis, Cristiani moved into 10th place with 92 career victories over her first two seasons at Babson.
•    Her 45-3 record in singles has her tied for eighth on the Beavers' all-time wins list and her 47 doubles wins are just outside the top 10.

NUMBERS TO KNOW
•    Babson is 4-4 against nationally-ranked opponents and 4-0 against teams outside the ITA top 50 this season.
•    The Beavers have led after doubles in 10 of their 12 matches.
•    The Green and White is 7-0 on the year when it records victories at both fourth and sixth singles.

UP NEXT
•    The Beavers travel to Cambridge to face 19th-ranked MIT on Friday at 3:30 p.m.
