WHAT TO KNOW
• Babson will send split squads to both Holy Cross and Salve Regina for matches on Saturday.
• The Beavers will take on Holy Cross in a non-conference match in Worcester and Salve Regina in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) affair in Newport, R.I.
SERIES HISTORY
vs. Holy Cross
• Babson is 5-1 in the all-time series against Holy Cross that dates back to 2004.
• The Beavers took two out of three between 2004-2006 and have won all three since the series resumed in 2019.
vs. Salve Regina
• Babson is 7-4 in the all-time series vs. Salve Regina which dates back to 2001.
• Saturday's match will be the first between the two schools since the Beavers won their fourth in a row against the Seahawks in the fall of 2011.
LAST MEETING
vs. Holy Cross
• The Beavers completed the sweep with a 7-0 victory over the Crusaders on September 16, 2022 at the Babson Tennis Courts.
• It started with three 6-4 victories in doubles as

Parker Law '23 and Sebastian Bucarion '23 earned a victory at No. 2 and

• The Green and White cruised to straight-set triumphs in all six singles matches with the line-up of junior
Ole Lepsoe at one, Utrilla at two, Yazdi at three, Conlon at four, Weisman at five, and junior
Wesley Zhang at six.
vs. Salve Regina
• Babson opened the 2011-12 dual match schedule with a 9-0 win over visiting Salve Regina on September 28, 2011 at the Farwell Courts in Babson Park.
• The Beavers jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead with convincing doubles victories from Roy Murdock and Ramone Doyley at number one, captain Danny Schneider and Connor DeFiore at number two, and Erik Ooi and Ferran Arimon at number three.
• The Green and White continued to roll in singles play, receiving wins from DeFiore at one, Doyley at two, Murdock at three, Arimon at four, Schneider at five, and Ooi at six.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• No. 36 Babson (5-7, 2-0 NEWMAC) is coming off an easy 9-0 conference victory over Clark last Saturday in Babson Park.
• Lepsoe, Zhang, and first-years

Brandon Reznik were winners in both singles and doubles against Clark. Lepsoe teamed up with first-year
Caymus Choi and Reznik paired up with sophomore
Martin Mejia for doubles victories, and first-year
Mattias Harrell and junior
Eshan Mukherjee also posted wins in singles.

Jonah Wilson (11-4), No. 24 in the ITA Division III rankings, leads the team in singles wins, including 4-1 in dual matches, followed by senior

• Mejia and Back have posted eight doubles wins each to lead the team, and Watson, Wilson and Choi each have six victories.
SCOUTING THE CRUSADERS
• Holy Cross (2-7, 1-3 Patriot) is looking to build on a 4-1 victory over Lafayette on Sunday in West Point, N.Y.
• Sophomore
Camilo Illanes and senior
Declan O'Flynn posted victories in both singles and doubles for the Crusaders. Holy Cross earned the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3, as O'Flynn and senior William Kelleher posted a 6-1 score at two and Illanes and senior Connor Nelson won 6-3 at three. O'Flynn earned a singles win at three, Illanes did the same at five, and sophomore Allessandro Bizzarri was winner at six to clinch the win.
• Illanes (8-6) leads the team in singles wins, including 5-2 at number five, while O'Flynn (5-3) is 4-3 at number four and Bizzarri (5-7) is 3-3 at number six. Kelleher (4-13) plays at No. 1 singles for the Crusaders.
• Kelleher and Henry Winiecki (2-6) are 1-3 in No. 1 doubles and Kelleher/O'Flynn are 2-0 at No. 2.
SCOUTING THE SEAHAWKS
• Salve Regina (0-8, 0-1 NEWMAC) is in its first year in the NEWMAC and suffered a 9-0 loss to Coast Guard in its first conference match last Friday.
• The Seahawks managed to win just three games in the six singles matches against the Bears, one each by senior Ned Batstone at number one, junior Alexander Colon at number three and junior Hoon Kim at number six. Batstone and Colon dropped an 8-3 verdict at number one doubles and sophomore Jacob Faulise and junior Samuel Middleton were defeated 8-1 at number two.
• Batstone (4-4) leads the team in singles wins, rotating around the top three spots in the line-up. Middleton (3-5) has posted a 2-3 mark at number one singles.
• The Seahawks are looking for their first doubles victory this spring.
NEWMAC WEEKLY HONORS
• Lepsoe and Choi were named the NEWMAC Men's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week on Monday, the third Babson duo to win the award this season.
• The Beaver duo, which picked up their first victory of the season at number one doubles against Clark, are now 2-4 as a doubles tandem this season. Lepsoe is 3-5 overall in doubles and Choi is 6-8.
CONFERENCE DOMINANCE
• The Beavers have posted a 15-2 regular season record against NEWMAC foes over the past three seasons, and a 50-8 mark going back to 2013.
• The only conference losses in the past 10 years were to MIT (seven times) and Coast Guard (once, in 2022).
• The Green and White won four of their six conference matches last season by 9-0 scores on the way to capturing the regular season title.
NATIONAL CALIBER SCHEDULE
• Babson has played seven matches against teams in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) national rankings, including four from the top 10.
• The lone win came by a score of 4-3 against No. 12 Gustavus Adolphus on March 15.
• The Beavers have two more ranked opponents on the schedule next month, No. 24 MIT on April 10 and No. 19 Mary Washington on April 14.
UP NEXT
• The Beavers will travel to defending NEWMAC Tournament champion and 24th ranked MIT for a key conference match on Wednesday, April 10, in Cambridge.
