Matia Cristiani (San Salvador, El Salvador) and
Kamila Stasiowska (Burlington, Conn.) and first-year
Dana Kamal (Cairo, Egypt) earned points in both singles and doubles as No. 13 Babson College breezed to a 9-0 victory over Smith College in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) women's tennis action Saturday afternoon inside the Boston Sports Center.
With the victory, Babson recorded its 10th consecutive NEWMAC regular season victory since last season and improved to 5-1 this year and 2-0 in conference play. Smith had a two-match winning streak snapped and dropped to 6-3 overall and 1-1 in the NEWMAC.

Mariana Campos (Houston, Texas) also won singles matches for the Beavers. Cristiani teamed up with junior
Olivia Soffer (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) for a win at No. 1 doubles, and senior
Adèle Fernández (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico) and first-year
Chaniel Soffer (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) paired up for a victory at No. 2 doubles.
The Green and White had little trouble in taking a 3-0 lead through doubles play. Cristiani and
Olivia Soffer registered an 8-2 victory over juniors Lili and Clara Goshgarian (Lake Forest, Ill.) at No. 1, Fernández and
Chaniel Soffer downed first-year Ayla Hauser (Knoxville, Tenn.) and sophomore Marielle Sauber (The Woodlands, Texas), 8-2, at No. 2, and Stasiowska and Kamal blanked senior Miranda Gibson (Bethlehem, Pa.) and first-year Sabrina Wang (Beijing, China), 8-0, at No. 3.
Cristiani bested Hauser, 6-2, 6-1, at No. 1 singles, while Stasiowska defeated Clara Goshgarian, 6-4, 6-0, at No. 2, and Rizk downed Lili Goshgarian, 6-1, 6-1, at No. 3. Moschella was a 6-2, 6-1 winner over first-year Aranne Jung (Los Angeles, Calif.) at No. 4, Campos cruised past Wang, 6-2, 6-2, at No. 5, and Kamal wrapped up the sweep with a 6-1, 6-1 triumph over sophomore Dayana Caluna (Plainfield, N.J.) at No. 6.
The Beavers play another NEWMAC foe on Wednesday when they visit Mount Holyoke for a 5:30 p.m. match. Smith travels to Endicott for a non-conference encounter on Tuesday at 3 p.m.
