• After opening its spring break trip to Florida with four games in Port Charlotte, the Babson baseball team is in Fort Myers for three days of games at the Gene Cusic Classic beginning on Tuesday morning.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (2-5) wrapped up its four-game weekend in Port Charlotte with a 5-3 win over North Central (Ill.) on Sunday afternoon.
• Senior
Tanner Santos went 3-for-5 with two RBI and graduate student
Luke Tanner singled twice and drove in a pair of runs for the Beavers, who saw sophomore
James Clark allow just one run on two hits over 5.1 innings on the mound.

Brant Savage is batting .379 with three doubles, three homers and seven runs batted in, Tanner is hitting .360 with a double, a home run and a team-high eight RBI, and Santos boasts a .467 on-base percentage to go along with a double, five RBI and seven runs scored.

Greg Nieskens is 1-0 with a 2.25 ERA and 10 strikeouts over 12.0 innings over two starts, senior
Jimmy Weick is holding hitters to a .083 in 3.2 innings of shutout relief and graduate student
Zach Magee has one save and has closed out both of Babson's last two victories.
SCOUTING THE DIPLOMATS
• Franklin & Marshall (2-8) snapped a three-game skid with a 9-2 victory over Scranton on Monday afternoon.
• Bobby Falese went 3-for-4 with a double and a triple and AJ Desautels doubled and finished with three RBI for the Diplomats, who sent 11 men to the plate as part of an eight run top of the first inning against he Royals.
• Falese is batting .350 with three doubles, two home runs and seven runs batted in, Spencer Berson is hitting .342 with seven extra-base hits, five RBI and seven runs scored, and Jakob Hoffman owns a .324 average to go along with three doubles, a triple and six runs scored over the first 10 games.
• Dan Galef is 1-2 with a 2.76 ERA and 18 strikeouts over 16.1 innings, Peter Mullen (0-2, 3.52 ERA) has recorded 11 strikeouts over 7.2 innings and Bijan Anvar is 0-1 in three starts with 14 strikeouts over 12.0 innings of work.
SCOUTING THE ROYALS
• Scranton (5-2) had its two-game winning streak in a 9-2 loss to Franklin & Marshall on Monday.
• Matthew Querey went 2-for-3 with a run scored and Brendan Douthit and TJ Pleban both drove in a run for the Royals, while left 15 men on base and trailed 8-0 after the top of the first inning.
• Jake Elston is batting .500 with three doubles, a homer, 10 RBI and eight runs scored, Connor Campbell is hitting .429 with a triple, two RBI and 10 runs scored and John Zarnowski owns a .304 average to go along with three doubles and a team-high eight runs batted in in seven starts.
• Daniel Johnson (2-0, 0.00 ERA) has allowed just one unearned run over 12.0 innings, Dominic Chieffalo (0-0) has tossed 5.0 shutout innings of relief over three appearances and Jason Carpenter is 1-0 with a 1.42 ERA in three appearances out of the bullpen.
SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
• Pitt-Bradford (5-4) has won its last two games after finishing off a sweep of Baruch with a 12-5 victory on Monday afternoon.
• Andrew Bokulich singled twice and knocked in two runs, while Bret Babcock and Blake Prestash both went 2-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored for the Panthers, who jumped out to a 9-0 first-inning lead.
• Maxwell Rodgers is batting .357 with four extra-base hits, three RIB and eight runs scored, Nico Hall checks in at .344 with a double, a homer, four RBI and nine runs scored, and Bokulich is hitting .306 with two doubles and nine runs batted in.
• Shawn Mannering (3-0, 1.65 ERA) has 26 strikeouts in 16.1 innings pitched, Patrick Synan is 1-0 with a 5.54 ERA in 13.0 innings and Joe Long has one save and has not allowed a run in three appearances out of the bullpen this spring.
STARTING STRONG
• In addition to Clark allowing just one run over 5.1 innings in Sunday's victory over North Central, Nieskens fanned five and gave up just one run on four hits and one walk over 7.0 innings to help the Beavers defeat Heidelberg, 7-2, for their first win of the season last Friday.
STREAKING BEAVERS
• Savage heads to Fort Myers riding an eight-game hitting streak and having reached base safely in his last 11 starts going back to last May.
• Santos and sophomore
Ryan Hvozdovic have reached base safely in 10 and eight consecutive games, respectively, while Tanner and graduate student
John Nowak both have at least one hit in four straight contests.
HEATING UP
• Tanner went 7-for-13 (.538) with a home run and six RBI in four games in Port Charlotte, while graduate student
John Nowak went 5-for-11 (.455) with three doubles and four runs batted in in three starts in Florida.
• Santos was 5-for-8 (.625) at the dish with a double, two RBI and three runs scored over Babson's final two games in Port Charlotte.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Beavers have scored at least six runs in five of their first seven games.
• Babson is 2-1 this season and 39-4 going back to the start of the 2022 campaign when leading after six innings.
• The Green and White is 1-1 this season in games decided by one or two runs.
• Babson has gone 2-1 over its first seven games when its pitching staff allows two extra-base hits or fewer.
