Olivia Soffer downed Zhang 6-2, 6-0, Cristiani beat junior Yoyo Benchetrit (Toronto, Ontario) 6-2, 6-1 at number two and Rizk was a 7-5, 7-5 winner at number three.
Chaniel Soffer cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 triumph at number four and Moschella dropped the first set at number six against first-year Anna Tanaka (Honolulu, Hawaai) before rallying for a 6-7 (4-7), 6-1, 11-9 victory. Caltech picked up its lone point in singles at number five where Patel defeated Babson sophomore
Mariana Campos (Houston, Texas), 6-4, 6-3.
Both teams return to action on Tuesday at 5 p.m. EDT as Babson travels to No. 10 Redlands, while Caltech hosts No. 17 Washington (Mo.).
