WHAT TO KNOW
• Babson will welcome Maine Maritime, Rivier and WPI to Staake Gymnasium for the sixth edition of the Judy Pearson '85 Memorial Tournament on Thursday and Friday.
• The tournament features a classic format for the fourth year in a row with the Beavers hosting Maine Maritime on Thursday and Rivier on Friday.
SERIES HISTORY
vs. Maine Maritime
• Babson is 1-0 all-time against the Mariners.
• The Beavers defeated the Maine Maritime, 69-44, in the first round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament in the only previous meeting between the squads.
vs. Rivier
• Babson is 3-0 all-time against the Raiders in a series that dates back to 1996.
• Friday's matchup will be the first between the teams since 1998 and the first in Babson Park since the Beavers defeated Rivier, 82-69, on January 18, 1997.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (6-4) has won two straight and four of its last five games after edging Connecticut College, 57-53, on Monday afternoon.

Samantha Reale (12.9 pts, 6.1 reb, 2.4 ast, 2.4 stl) leads the team in steals and is second in both scoring and assists, and Flynn (9.3 pts, 6.7 reb) is shooting 45.9 percent from the floor and 44.1 percent from beyond the arc.
• The Green and White boasts a +6.1 rebounding margin and his holding its opponents to 58.3 points on 35.9 percent shooting.
SCOUTING THE MARINERS
• Maine Maritime (6-2) has won three consecutive games and is coming off a 71-63 victory over Saint Joseph's (Maine) back on December 14.
• Sydney Briscoe scored 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting to go along with nine rebounds and three steals, while Erianna Moore added 15 points, six boards and six assists for the Mariners, who built a 41-33 halftime lead and shot 46.6 percent in the win.
• Moore (14.8 pts, 6.3 reb, 3.1 ast) is shooting 45.7 percent and leads the team in points and assists, Evelyn Dagan (11.3 pts, 2.4 reb) is shooting 45.3 percent from three-point range and Briscoe (9.6 pts, 9.3 reb) has one double-double and is attempting nearly five free throws per game.
• Maine Maritime has allowed just 56.6 points on 34 percent shooting and ranks 34th in Division III in rebounding margin (9.3).
SCOUTING THE RAIDERS
• Rivier (4-5) has followed up five straight losses to open the season with four consecutive victories and is coming off a 70-63 win over Utica back on December 7.
• Lyric Grumblatt poured in 31 points on 11-of-19 shooting to go along with eight rebounds and six steals, while Hannah Muchemore scored 17 points and dished out nine assists for the Raiders, who rallied from a 16-point deficit by outscoring the Pioneers 48-25 in the middle quarters.
• Grumblatt (26.9 pts, 7.7 reb, 2.6 ast) ranks third in Division III in scoring and has surpassed 30 points three times over the first nine games, Muchemore (15.9 pts, 6.0 ast, 4.4 reb) ranks third in the country in assists and Sydney Perry (8.9 pts, 8.0 reb) is shooting 56.9 percent and has recorded three double-doubles on the year.
• Rivier is averaging 69.4 points and has allowed just 52.5 points during its current four-game winning streak.
SCOUTING THE ENGINEERS
• WPI (5-5) snapped a four-game losing streak with a 76-51 win over Elms in the consolation game of the Sandy DeWolf Tournament in Rochester, N.Y., on Monday.
• Alice Kelly posted a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds, Caitlyn Dasaro added 14 points and Emmy Allyn and Allison Fullem scored 11 and 10 points, respectively, for the Engineers, who outscored the Blazers 23-8 in the third quarter.
• Kelly (12.1 pts, 6.5 reb, 3.5 ast, 1.5 stl) leads the team in scoring, rebounding and steals, Ava Giansiracusa (12.0 pts, 5.0 reb) is shooting 42.6 percent in seven games off the bench and Allyn is contributing 9.6 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 10 starts.
• WPI is averaging 63.9 points on 41.4 percent shooting and owns a +4.7 rebounding margin.
REMEMBERING JUDY PEARSON
•
Judy Pearson '85 enjoyed a legendary career and became the first woman inducted into the Babson College Athletics Hall of Fame in 1991. She was the first woman in program history to exceed 1,000 career points and her career average 20.9 points per game is still a school record more than 30 years later.
• Pearson ended her career with 1,758 points, which is good for fourth in program history, 814 rebounds and 189 steals. She also owns a school record with 530 made free throws and her 9.69 rebounds per game ranks third on Babson's all-time list.
TOURNAMENT TRENDS
• The Beavers are 8-2 all-time in the Judy Pearson '85 Memorial Tournament with its lone losses coming to Wesleyan in 2019 (65-57) and Susquehanna last December (61-55).
• Mollica ranks third on the tournament's individual scoring list with 23 points in last year's loss to Susquehanna, while senior
Abby Miller scored 20 points in last season's win over Oneonta.
• Megan Bauman '23 set a tournament record by going 12-of-12 at the free throw line in Babson's 2019 win over Connecticut College, and her seven assists against Framingham State in 2021 are tied for second in tournament history.
• The Green and White is 3-2 all-time on day one of the tournament and 5-0 on day two, which includes four consecutive double-digit victories.
WHAT TO WATCH FOR
• Over the last three games, Silk is averaging 9.3 points and 9.7 rebounds while shooting 56.5 percent from the floor.
• Mollica, who ranks third in program history with 155 three-point field goals, has knocked down at least two triples in eight consecutive games dating back to November 13.
• Reale has finished with at least one steal in 19 straight contests dating back to last season.
• In four home games this season, Flynn has posted three double-doubles and is averaging 14.8 points and 9.8 rebounds while shooting 54.3 percent from the floor.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Beavers grabbed a season-high 21 offensive rebounds in Monday's win over Connecticut College and boast an offensive rebound rate of .455 over the last three games.
• Babson is 6-0 on the year and has won its last 14 games when holding its opponents below 60 points.
• The Green and White is 5-0 this season when it leads or is tied entering the fourth quarter.
