Women's Basketball Returns Home to Face Connecticut College on Monday

SERIES HISTORY

•    Babson is 13-2 all-time against Connecticut College in a series that dates back to the 1981-82 campaign. 
•    The Beavers have won five consecutive games over the Camels since 2020, which includes four victories inside Staake Gymnasium. 
•    Just four of the 15 meetings between the teams have been decided by single digits and none of the last six contests have been closer than 11 points. 
 
LAST MEETING
•    Kelly Walsh '24 led all scorers with 19 points and Madison Odam '24 added 14 points and seven rebounds to help Babson defeat Connecticut College, 71-44, on December 8, 2021, in New London, Conn. 
•    Senior Kiara Simone Davis scored seven points on 3-of-3 shooting and classmate Abby Miller added five points to pace a balanced attack for the Beavers, who led by eight at halftime and outscored the hosts 22-7 in the third quarter. 
•    Aislinn McMahon scored 11 points and Emily Tripp finished with 10 points on 5-of-10 shooting for the Camels, who finished 5-of-20 from three-point range and shot just 32.1 percent from the floor in the loss. 

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
•    Babson (5-4) has won two of its last three games and is coming off a 68-57 victory over Franklin & Marshall to wrap up the Music City Classic on December 20. 
•    Senior Katelyn Mollica and sophomore Samantha Reale led four players in double figures with 14 points and seniors Camilla Silk and Emily Flynn added 11 and 10 points, respectively, for the Beavers, who shot 54.8 percent in the second half and outscored the Diplomats 22-7 in the fourth quarter. 
•    Mollica (14.6 pts, 2.2 reb) has scored in double figures in six of the last seven games, Reale (13.8 pts, 6.2 reb, 2.6 stl, 2.4 ast) leads the team in steals and is shooting 51.6 percent over the last three games, and Flynn (8.9 pts, 6.3 reb, 2.9 ast) is shooting 48 percent from the floor and leads the squad in assists. 
•    The Green and White is allowing just 58.9 points and has held opponents to 36 percent shooting over its first nine outings. 

SCOUTING THE CAMELS
•    Connecticut College (7-3) has won two of its last three games and is coming off a 70-61 victory over Johnson & Wales back on December 9. 
•    Catherine Cole came off the bench to score a game-high 18 points, Addi Hunter finished with 15 points, 14 rebounds and six assists, and Mia Xerras added 14 points for the Camels, who ended with a 52-35 advantage on the glass and led by as many as 19 in the fourth quarter. 
•    Hunter (13.1 pts, 6.8 reb, 3.1 ast, 1.5 stl) has scored in double figures in 11 straight games and leads the team in scoring, rebounds and steals, Xerras (9.8 pts, 3.3 ast) is shooting 51.1 percent from three-point range and Catie Donadio (9.0 pts, 5.2 reb, 2.4 ast) leads the squad with 18 offensive rebounds. 
•    Connecticut College is allowing just 58.2 points while allowing opponents to shoot just 35 percent from the floor and 23.3 percent from three-point range. 

DOUBLE TROUBLE
•    Reale and Silk both posted their second double-doubles of the season to help the Beavers earn a split in Nashville with the win over Franklin & Marshall. 
•    Reale set new career highs with six offensive boards and 13 rebounds in all, while Silk finished with 10 caroms, just one short of her season high as the Green and White outrebounded the Diplomats 44-32. 

LET IT FLY
•    Mollica knocked down four three-pointers, two of them in the decisive fourth quarter, and has now made 29 through nine games to begin the season. 
•    She ranks seventh in Division III in three-pointers per game (3.22), 19th in three-point field goals and is shooting 38.7 percent from beyond the arc. 
•    Since going 0-of-2 in a loss to No. 1 NYU back on November 9, Mollica has connected on at least two triples in seven consecutive outings. 

THOMPSON MAKES BABSON DEBUT
•    After missing the first seven games of the season, graduate student Toni Thompson made her season debut for the Beavers with nine points, five rebounds, three assists, two blocks and two steals in a 74-66 loss to Webster on December 19. 
•    Thompson was named to the D3hoops.com Preseason All-America fifth team after averaging 24.5 points, 11.2 rebounds and 2.2 steals while leading Occidental to its first conference title and NCAA Tournament appearance since 2011 last winter. 

BEAVER BITES
•    Junior Allessia Carlo, who scored a season-high 11 points against Norwich on December 2, started both games in the Music City Classic scoring four points to go along with a career-best six assists in a career-high 35 minutes in the loss against Webster before contributing eight points in the win over Franklin & Marshall. 
•    Reale averaged 17.5 points, 11.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists while shooting 52 percent. 
•    In three home games this season, Flynn is averaging 15.3 points and 9.7 rebounds while shooting 62.5 percent. 
•    In six games going back to November 15, Silk is shooting 74.3 percent (17-of-26) from the floor. 

NUMBERS TO KNOW
•    The Beavers are 4-0 this season when committing 16 turnovers or less. 
•    Babson is 4-0 this season and 54-2 since the start of the 2021-22 campaign when leading after three quarters. 
•    The Green and White has outrebounded its opponents in eight of nine games this season. 
•    The Beavers are 5-0 on the year and 35-2 over the last three seasons when holding their opponents below 60 points.
