SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 38-9-3 all-time against the Thoroughbreds in a series that dates back to 1999.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (1-0-0, 0-0-0 NEHC) opened the season with a dramatic 5-4 victory over No. 11 Plymouth State last Saturday at the Babson Skating Center.

Mason Rosado (2.42 GAA, .912 sv. pct.) each started 13 games with one shutout in goal for the Beavers last season, Mueller finishing 7-6-0 and Rosado 7-4-2.
SCOUTING THE THOROUIGHBREDS
• No. 9 Skidmore (1-0-0, 0-0-0 NEHC) opened its season with a 3-0 victory over Wentworth on Saturday in Everett, Mass.
• First-year Evan Brown broke a scoreless game with a power play goal in the second period for the Thoroughbreds and senior Kevin Urquhart and sophomore Jacob Zwirecki (empty-netter) added third period goals in the win. Junior transfer Joshua Seeley earned the shutout with 22 saves.
• Skidmore has high hopes this season after advancing to the NEHC title game in two of the last three seasons. For the second consecutive year, the Thoroughbreds were eliminated by eventual national champion Hobart.
• The Thoroughbreds return 21 veterans from last year's team that went 19-7-2 overall. Senior defenseman Danny Magnuson (5-13-18) returns after becoming the first Skidmore First Team All-American last year, while classmate Kaeden Patrick (10-9-19) earned All-NEHC Second Team honors.
PRESEASON POLL
• The Beavers were picked to finish fourth when the NEHC preseason coaches' poll was released last month.
• Defending champion Hobart was a unanimous selection to repeat its title with Skidmore and Norwich rounding out the top three.
• The NEHC has a different look this year with the addition of Salve Regina and Albertus Magnus and the departure of Johnson & Wales.
A LOOK AT THE ROSTER
• The Green and White boast a roster of 24 skaters and three goaltenders, including four seniors, 15 juniors, five sophomores, one first-year, and two graduate student transfers.
• The junior class accounted for 49 of the team's 79 goals last season.

NUMBERS TO KNOW
• There were three lead changes and four tie scores in Babson's win over Plymouth State on Saturday.
