Women's Basketball Visits Brandeis on Tuesday Afternoon

SERIES HISTORY 

•    Babson is 30-25 all-time against Brandeis in a series that dates back to the 1975-76 campaign. 
•    The Beavers have won 10 of their last 12 games against the Judges with eight of the games having been decided by seven points or less or in overtime. 
•    The Green and White has dropped two of its last three games on the road in the series going back to 2017. 

LAST MEETING
•    Kelly Walsh '24 poured in 28 points to lead three players in double figures as the Beavers cruised past Brandeis, 79-44, on November 21, 2023, in Babson Park. 
•    Senior Katelyn Mollica scored 13 points and dished out five assists, classmate Abby Miller contributed 11 points and six rebounds and junior Chloe Perreault chipped in with six points and a game-high 10 boards for Babson, which built a 36-15 halftime lead. 
•    Brooke Reed and Abby Kennedy both scored eight points for the Judges, who made just four first-half field goals and shot 23.8 percent from the field in the loss. 

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
•    Babson (2-3) is coming off a 61-50 loss at Tufts last Friday. 
•    Mollica knocked down four three-pointers and scored a game-high 16 points, while sophomore Samantha Reale finished with 13 points, three steals and three blocks for the Beavers, who trailed by just two with less than five minutes to go in the fourth quarter. 
•    Mollica (15.8 pts, 2.0 reb, 1.8 stl) is shooting 45.3 percent, Reale (13.8 pts, 4.2 reb, 2.8 stl) has scored in double figures in three straight games, and senior Emily Flynn is contributing 7.2 points and team highs of 7.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists while shooting 53.8 percent from the floor. 
•    The Green and White is holding its foes to 36.6 percent shooting and has outrebounded four of its first five opponents. 

SCOUTING THE JUDGES
•    Brandeis (3-3) has dropped two of its last three games after suffering an 81-71 loss at unbeaten UMass Dartmouth on Saturday. 
•    Lulu Ohm scored 21 points, Jessica Maina added 18 points on 6-of-12 shooting and Claire Candela chipped in with 10 points and five rebounds for the Judges, who led 60-59 entering the fourth quarter. 
•    Ohm (23.2 pts, 4.0 reb) has put up at least 20 points in three consecutive outings and is shooting 48.5 percent from three-point range, Maina (11.7 pts, 4.5 reb) is 7-of-16 from beyond the arc over the last two games, and Katherine Vaughn is averaging 11.3 points and team highs of 7.5 rebounds and 4.0 blocks in four starts. 
•    Brandeis is averaging 8.0 three-pointers per game and has held its first six opponents to 36.5 percent shooting. 

FAMILIAR FACE ON THE OTHER SIDE
•    Julie Prichett was hired as the sixth head coach in Brandeis women's basketball program history back in June following three seasons as the top assistant at Babson. 
•    She helped the Beavers make a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances, which includes advancing to the national quarterfinals in 2023, as well as three straight appearances in the NEWMAC Tournament final. 

LET IT FLY
•    With four triples in Friday's loss at Tufts, Mollica passed Joanna Maher '03 for third place on Babson's career list with 139 three-pointers. 
•    She enters the week ranked 18th in Division III in three-pointers per game (3.20), 21st in three-point field goals (16) and 42nd in attempts (41) while shooting 39 percent from long range. 

BEAVER BITES
•    Reale has at least one steal in 14 consecutive games going back to last season and has recorded multiple steals 12 times during this stretch. 
•    Miller is averaging 11.0 points on 40 percent shooting to go along with 3.5 rebounds in her last two games against Brandeis, while senior Kiara Simone Davis, who missed last year's contest, contributed 10 points and two assists in the Beavers' 85-56 victory over the Judges in 2022. 
•    Perreault has finished with at least five rebounds in four of five outings this season. 
•    First-year Julia St. Laurent played a season-high 31 minutes last Friday at Tufts contributing four points and a season-high three boards. 

NUMBERS TO KNOW
•    The Beavers are 2-0 this season and 14-1 since the start of last season when leading after three quarters. 
•    Babson is 2-0 this winter and has gone 15-2 since the start of the 2023-24 campaign when holding its opponents below 60 points. 
•    The Green and White has limited its first five opponents to just 22.5 percent shooting from three-point range. 
•    The Beavers are 2-1 on the year when forcing at least 16 turnovers.
