No. 11 Men's Soccer Travels to Worcester to Face Clark on Wednesday

SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 39-18-7 all-time against Clark in a series that dates back to 1959. 
• The Beavers are unbeaten in the last five matches and have gone 11-1-4 versus the Cougars since 2007 with seven of the games ending in overtime.
• The Green and White is visiting Granger Field for the second straight season and is unbeaten in its last seven trips to Worcester to face Clark (4-0-3) going back to 2008.

LAST MEETING
• Senior goalkeeper Walker White made one save and No. 13 Babson was held to a 0-0 draw at Clark on October 25, 2023, at Granger Field. 
• The Beavers finished with a 22-9 advantage in total shot attempts and an 8-1 margin in shots on target.
• Andrew DiStefano '24 turned in a solid performance in goal for the Cougars, finishing with eight saves for his second shutout of the season.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• No. 11 Babson (10-1-6, 5-0-1 NEWMAC) posted its third straight victory on Saturday with a 2-1 verdict at MIT on Roberts Field in Cambridge.
• Graduate student Kento Abe scored the go-ahead goal in the 75th minute, fellow graduate student James Donaldson also scored, and sophomore Ted Rosenfeld picked up his first assist of the year for the Beavers. White made one save in the victory.
• Abe (6-3-15) has four goals in his last five games while Donaldson (4-5-13) leads the team and is tied for third in the league in assists. Rhatigan (5-0-10) has all of his career-high five goals in the last seven games and Yablonovskiy (3-2-8) and sophomore McKenzy Pierre (3-1-7) are tied for third on the team in goals.
• White (0.60 GAA, 43 svs, 7 SO) leads the NEWMAC in goals against average and shutouts and ranks 22nd in Division III in GAA and 25th in shutouts.

SCOUTING THE COUGARS
• Clark (5-7-4, 0-5-1 NEWMAC) snapped a five-game winless streak with four second-half goals in a 4-1 non-conference victory over Anna Maria on Saturday in Worcester.
• Senior Tyler Manley tallied a pair of goals, junior Henry Kuerbis added a goal and an assist, sophomore Dwight Santiago scored once, and senior Zachary Kratz collected a pair of assists in the win. Sophomore Jaime Pedraza registered three saves in his first start for the Cougars, who finished with a 25-15 advantage in shots.
• Senior Lucas Saia (6-2-14) and junior Ben Siegel (6-2-14) share the team lead in scoring and Manley (5-0-10) has four goals in his last three games. First-year Graham Summers (2-0-4) is a multi-goal scorer and Kuerbis (1-3-5) leads the team in assists.
• Junior Diego Marin (1.56 GAA, 75 svs) has started 15 of the Cougars' 16 games in goal and has posted three clean sheets.

NEWMAC WEEKLY HONOR
• For the second time this season, junior Liam Goldstein was tabbed as the league's defensive player of the week on Monday.
• The junior back played the full 90 minutes at center back in consecutive one-goal wins, helping the Beavers allow just one shot on goal in Wednesday's 1-0 victory over Springfield and clearing a scoring chance off the goal line in the 28th minute in Saturday's 2-1 win at MIT.

PLAYOFF PICTURE
• Heading into the final week of the regular season, Babson (5-0-1) sits atop the standings with 16 points with Coast Guard (4-1-1) on its heels in second with 13 points.
• Salve Regina (3-1-2, 11 pts.) and Springfield (3-2-1, 10 pts.) are in the 3-4 positions with eyes on home-field advantage in the first game in the NEWMAC Tournament, and MIT (2-3-1, 7 pts.) and WPI (1-2-4, 7 pts.) have the advantage for the final two playoff spots with Wheaton (1-2-3, 5 pts.) still alive.

RANKED HIGH IN THE NPI
• Babson is ranked 12th in this week's Division III NCAA Power Index (NPI), which is used to select teams for the NCAA Tournament. 
• The Beavers are the top-ranked team in the NEWMAC and Region II by nearly three points, and are one of six programs from New England ranked among the top 12. 

BABSON VS. THE NEWMAC
• Babson has outscored its five NEWMAC opponents this season by a count of 16-2.
• The Green and White are 23-0-5 over their last 28 NEWMAC fixtures, including playoffs, a streak that dates back to October 30, 2021. 
• The Beavers have just one loss in 42 games against conference opponents (31-1-10) in the regular season since the start of the 2018 campaign.

NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Beavers are 10-0-3 on the year when scoring the opening goal of the match. 
• Babson is 10-0-6 this season 33-1-15 over the last three seasons when conceding one goal or fewer. 
• The Green and White is 17-2-6 in the month of October since 2022.
