SERIES HISTORY

•    Babson is 12-5 all-time against Salve Regina in a series that dates back to the 1982-83 campaign.
•    Saturday's matchup is the first meeting between the teams as members of the NEWMAC and marks just the second time the teams have played since 2003.
•    The Beavers snapped a two-game losing streak in the series with their victory over the Seahawks back in 2018.

•    Nicole Hiller '21 scored a game-high 16 points and Payton Ouimette '19 and Tea Spellacy '19 both added 15 points as the Beavers rolled to a 99-58 win over Salve Regina on December 30, 2018, in Babson Park.
•    Bianca Tomassini '19 and Emily Bonifacic '20 both scored 14 points for the Beavers, who shot 57.4 percent and outscored the Seahawks 62-26 in the paint.
•    Tori Scorpio finished with 14 points and three assists and Mary Rorke added 13 points to lead Salve Regina.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
•    Babson (6-10, 0-2 NEWMAC) has dropped three straight games after suffering a 64-50 loss to No. 16/12 Smith on Wednesday night.
•    Sophomore Chloe Perreault finished with 15 points and nine rebounds and classmate Allessia Carlo added 10 points for the Beavers, who trailed by just five at the half and held the Pioneers to their lowest shooting percentage of the season.
•    Junior Katelyn Mollica (12.8 pts, 3.3 reb) ranks second in the league with 43 three-pointers and is shooting 41.7 percent from beyond the arc, first-year Samantha Reale (8.5 pts, 3.5 reb) has scored in double figures in three of the last four games and Perreault (6.8 pts, 6.8 reb) is shooting 50.5 percent from the floor.
•    The Green and White is allowing 56.8 points and ranks third in the league in field goal percentage defense (34.6).

SCOUTING THE SEAHAWKS
•    Salve Regina (8-8, 2-0 NEWMAC) has won three straight and five of its last six games overall after pulling away for a 75-58 victory against WPI on Wednesday.
•    Ashley Rourke and Morgan Shuey both scored 20 points and Sofia Neary posted a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Seahawks, who shot 43.5 percent and outscored the Engineers 19-8 in the fourth quarter.
•    Sofia Neary (16.6 pts, 9.6 reb) ranks third in the league in both scoring and rebounds, Briana Neary (14.1 pts, 7.5 reb) is shooting 48 percent from the floor and Rourke (13.5 pts, 5.6 reb) has scored in double figures in six of the last seven contests.
•    Salve Regina ranks third in the league in scoring (72.1 points) and is second in the NEWMAC pulling down 16.1 offensive rebounds per game.

DEFENSE NEVER RESTS
•    After limiting Smith, which leads Division III in field goal percentage, to just 35.5 percent on Wednesday night, the Beavers have now held five opponents to their worst shooting night of the season this winter.
•    Babson held then-No. 21/17 Tufts to just 23.3 percent shooting in a 60-42 win on January 7, limited Middlebury to 25.8 percent in a 56-45 victory on December 1 and forced Thomas into 19.1 percent shooting in an 88-24 rout on November 18.
•    No. 3 Rhode Island College also shot just 32.2 percent while escaping with a 53-48 victory over the Green and White on November 26.

CRASHING THE GLASS
•    Silk's 13 rebounds are the most by a Babson player since January 21, 2023, when Samantha Smith '23 pulled down 16 in a win over Coast Guard.
•    Over the late five games, Silk is averaging 8.2 rebounds and Perreault is grabbing 7.6 boards.

NUMBERS TO KNOW
•    The Beavers are 5-1 this season when shooting at least 40 percent.
•    Babson is 4-0 this winter and has won its last 11 games going back to last February when scoring at least 65 points.
•    The Green and White is 6-2 this year and 24-3 since the start of last season when outrebounding its opponents.
