Box Score 3 CAMBRIDGE, Mass.—The Babson College men's tennis team opened up the fall portion of its schedule over the weekend competing against Bowdoin, Brandeis, Skidmore and the host Engineers at the MIT Invitational.
The Beavers were victorious against two of three opponents in doubles, picking up a 2-1 win over Brandeis and a 3-0 triumph against Skidmore. They also earned one victory in singles, defeating Skidmore 4-2.
First-year
Kerem Ozlale (Istanbul, Turkey) went 2-0 in doubles, while sophomore
Martin Mejia (Cali, Colombia) and first-years
Caymus Choi (Hong Kong, China) and
Logan Back (Busan, South Korea) all went 2-1 for the Green and White. Graduate student
Andrew Watson (Charlottesville, Va.) and first-year
Eshan Mukherjee (Basel, Switzerland) both won their only doubles matches of the week and graduate student
Jonah Wilson (Gilbert, Ariz.) went 1-1.
Wilson led the Beavers with a pair of victories in singles to go along with a three-set loss against Brandeis. First-year
Mattias Harrell (Oslo, Norway) won his singles debut, while Back, Mukherjee and Watson all went 1-1 over the weekend.
Babson returns to action on Friday when it begins play at the ITA New England Championships in Brunswick, Maine.
