Women's Tennis Wraps Up Play at the Wellesley Invitational

| Box Score 2 WELLESLEY, Mass.—The Babson College women's tennis team wrapped up the opening weekend of its fall schedule by winning nine of 10 singles matches and earning seven victories in doubles at the Wellesley Invitational on Sunday afternoon. 

Junior Olivia Soffer (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) and sophomore Matia Cristiani (San Salvador, El Salvador) both recorded easy straight-set wins over opponents from Trinity. Soffer won 6-0, 6-3 and Cristiani posted a 6-1, 6-2 triumph. The duo also won a pair of matches in doubles defeating Angelina Shyltsyna and Josephine Kimball of Trinity 7-4 and Chahana Budhbhatti and Sabrina Loui of Brandeis, 8-2. 

First-year Chaniel Soffer (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) was a 6-2, 7-6 winner over Dalia Khera of Wellesley and teamed with senior Adèle Fernández (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico) to split a pair of doubles contests, including an 8-7 (7-4) victory over Emillee Pak and Kriti Sarav of Wellesley. Sophomore Kamila Stasiowska (Burlington, Conn.) rallied for a three-set win over the Blue's Veda Madhusudan, senior Shanaya Naik downed Pak, 6-2, 6-0, and sophomore Mariana Campos (Houston, Texas) was a three-set winner over Ella Subramanian of Brandeis. 

Junior Laetitia Rizk (Beirut, Lebanon) and sophomore Elena Keitt (Austin, Texas) each recorded a straight-set win in singles and paired up to defeat Naisha Rathi and Elise Brennan of Trinity, 8-2, in doubles. Senior Juliette Moschella (Little Silver, N.J.) also recorded two wins in doubles, pairing with Naik to post an 8-3 result against Madhusudan and Lily Cade of Wellesley and teaming up with Campos for an 8-5 triumph over Subramanian and Jiayi Zhang of Brandeis.

Senior Jane Wang (San Diego, Calif.) was a 6-2, 6-1 winner over Zhang in singles and the duo of sophomore Grace Starcher (Morristown, N.J.) and first-year Dana Kamal (Cairo, Egypt) downed Zhang and Mandy Reyes of Brandeis in doubles, 8-4. 

Babson returns to action on Friday when it begins play at the ITA New England Championships hosted by Wesleyan.
