SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 24-13 all-time against UMass Boston in a series that dates back to 1982.
• The Beavers snapped a six-game losing streak against the Beacons back in 2019 and scheduled matchups between the teams were canceled in both 2020 and 2022.

LAST MEETING
• Jack Ward '21 homered as part of a two-hit day and Matthew Valente '20 went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored to help the Beavers beat UMass Boston, 6-3, on April 11, 2019.
• Ben Aleixo '21, Ryan Vatcher '21 and Tyler Bell '21 combined to throw 3.1 scoreless innings out of the bullpen and six different players drove in a run for the Beavers, who went in front for good with a three-run fifth.
• Anthony Cecere went 3-for-5 with a double and Nick Herzog homered as part of a two-hit day for the Beacons, who left 11 men on base.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (21-13) snapped a two-game skid with a 6-5 win over Clark on Tuesday at Govoni Field.
• First-year Chris Basile went 3-for-5 with an RBI triple and scored the go-ahead run in the bottom of the eighth inning for the Beavers, who trailed 4-0 after two and 5-3 going to the bottom of the eighth.
• First-year Ryan Hvozdovic is batting .341 with four doubles, two homers, 25 RBI and 23 runs scored, Basile is hitting .339 with five extra-base hits, 13 stolen bases, 25 runs scored and 23 runs driven in, and junior Brant Savage boasts a .338 average to go along with eight doubles, 10 home runs and 42 RBI.
• First-year James Clark is 0-1 with a 4.38 ERA in three starts this spring, sophomore Luke McClintock (0-0, 2.79 ERA) has allowed just one earned run over his last six appearances out of the bullpen, and senior Tim Person (2-2, 4.02 ERA) has not allowed a run over his last nine stints out of the bullpen.

SCOUTING THE BEACONS
• UMass Boston (19-12) has dropped two straight games after suffering a 9-3 loss in game two of Saturday's doubleheader at Southern Maine.
• Gianni Zarrilli Jr. hit a solo homer in the second inning and Bostyn Burris went 4-for-4 with an RBI single for the Beacons, who took an early 2-0 lead before giving up six runs in the fifth inning.
• Aidan Blake is batting .373 with 11 doubles, five home runs, 34 RBI and 33 runs scored, Drew Metzdorf is hitting .345 with nine doubles, seven triples, four homers and 24 runs batted in, and Zarrilli Jr. has a .314 average to go along with 18 extra-base hits, 27 runs driven in and 27 runs scored.
• Tim Cianciolo (2-3, 7.88 ERA) has recorded 25 strikeouts and 24 walks in 32.0 innings, Josh Garner (0-0, 1.08) is holding hitters to a .143 average in eight relief appearances, and Sam Gray (1-0, 4 saves) boasts a 1.32 ERA in 13.2 innings.

MILONE, PERSON ENJOY LATE-INNING SUCCESS
• Sophomore Matt Milone pitched a perfect eighth inning on Tuesday to earn the first win of his career and Person came on in the ninth and worked around a two-out single and a walk to record his first career save in the Beavers' victory over Clark.
• Malone, who is second on the team with 11 relief appearances, has seven strikeouts while allowing just two runs over his last 6.2 innings pitched.
• In 13.1 innings pitched over his last 10 appearances, Person has allowed just one unearned run and boasts a 0.98 WHIP to go along with 16 strikeouts.

STREAKING BEAVERS
• Savage has reached base safely in 15 consecutive games going back to April 5, while Basile has reached base safely in 11 straight outings and has at least one hit 18 of his last 20 starts.
• Senior Jackson Kelly has reached base safely in seven consecutive games and junior Ike Kiely has gotten on in six games in a row.

ASSAULT ON THE RECORD BOOK
• Savage's 10 home runs rank fourth in single-season program history behind only Ryan Arena '18, who hit 13 in 2017 and 11 in 2018, and Nicholas Browne '19, who went deep 12 times in 2019.
• Junior Tanner Santos has walked 37 times, which is just four away from the single-season mark of 41 set by Sean Harrington '20 in 2019.

NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Beavers are 18-1 this season when scoring at least six runs.
• Babson is 15-4 on the year when scoring the first run of the game.
• The Green and White is 15-5 this spring when allowing four runs or fewer.
