Men's Alpine Ski Comes in 8th at Abbreviated USCSA National Championships

MAMMOTH LAKES, Calif.-- The Babson College men's alpine ski team came in sixth in the slalom at the United States Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association (USCSA) National Championships at Mammoth Mountain on Thursday afternoon.

The Beavers posted a time of 2:22.58 that left them behind seventh-place Cornell. Castleton took first place finishing a full second ahead of runner-up Rocky Mountain, while Northern Michigan, St. Olaf and Air Force rounded out the top five.

Junior Ryan Beardsley (Warren, Vt.) was the team's top finisher coming in sixth with a run of 45.00. First-year Max Bellino (Shrewsbury, Mass.) came in 24th in 47.27, senior Jack Beney (Greenwich, Conn.) placed 51st in a time of 50.31 and classmate Zach Roman (Mashpee, Mass.) crossed the finish line in a time of 1:12.70.
