QUEENSBURY, N.Y.—The Babson College men's alpine ski team finished third in the giant slalom at West Mountain on Saturday.

The Beavers, who had opened the winter with five straight runner-up finishes, came in behind both Castleton and Clarkson in the first of two GS races at West Mountain.

Junior Ryan Beardsley (Warren, Vt.) continued his terrific season by finishing sixth overall with a two-run time of 1:59.43. First-year Max Bellino (Shrewsbury, Mass.) posted a time of 2:01.72 that was good for 10th place, while senior Jack Beney (Greenwich, Conn.) placed 16th overall with a time of 2:03.93.

First-year Finn Horsley (Salt Lake City, Utah) placed 19th overall with a time of 2:05.14 and junior Henness Hoffmann (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.) was less than a second behind him in 20th position.

Babson returns to the slopes for another giant slalom race on Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
