SERIES HISTORY
vs. Williams

• Babson is 20-24-3 all-time against the Ephs in a series that dates back to the 1979-80 campaign.
• Five of the last seven games between the teams have been decided by a single goal or finished in a tie.
• The teams have split the last three games in Babson Park with each posting a win, a loss and a tie.
vs. Amherst
• Babson is 26-16-4 all-time against the Mammoths in a series that dates back to the 1972-73 season.
• The Beavers are unbeaten (2-0-1) in the last three outings vs. Amherst.
• The last six games in Babson Park have decided by two goals or less.

LAST MEETING
vs. Williams

• Senior Connor Tobin scored an unassisted goal 3:29 into overtime as Williams pulled out a 2-1 victory over No. 7 Babson on November 26, 2022, at Chapman Rink in Williamstown.
• Sophomore Brendan Kennedy scored his first career goal for Babson to tie the game midway through the third period. Classmates Nolan Dion and Nolan Woudenberg picked up assists and fellow sophomore Nate Mueller made 34 saves in the tough-luck loss.
• Senior Henry Muller scored the first goal for Williams late in the first period with an assist from classmate Ethan Prout. Evan Ruschil '23 made a career-high 48 saves in the victory.
vs. Amherst
• Sophomore Will Holland finished with a goal and an assist and goaltender Nolan Hildebrand '23 stopped 40 shots to help No. 7 Babson defeat Amherst, 3-1, on November 27, 2022, inside Orr Rink in Amherst.
• Junior Matt Cormier and sophomore Egan Schmitt each had a goal and sophomore Sam Sibold recorded a season-high two assists to lead the Beavers. James Perullo '23 and sophomores Mike Stevens and Kennedy also chipped in with an assist apiece in the victory.
• Junior Ben Kuzma had a goal and classmates Matt Toporowski and Max Thiessen added assists for the Mammoths, who got 17 saves from senior Alex Wisco.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (4-3-2, 4-0-1 NEHC) enters the weekend unbeaten in its last five games (4-0-1), including a 1-1 overtime tie against Tufts on Tuesday at the Babson Skating Center.
• Sophomore Cam Joslin scored late in the second period and first-year Mason Rosado finished with 25 saves in the draw. Cormier and sophomore Sam Sibold both recorded assists for the Beavers. 
• Sophomore Ryan Murphy (4-6-10) is in the top 10 in the NEHC in scoring and senior Thomas Kramer (5-2-7) is in the top 10 in goals. Schmitt (4-2-6), George (2-4-6), senior Colby Bailey (1-5-6) and sophomore Charlie Andriole (0-6-6) are tied for third on the team in points, with Andriole tied for the team lead in assists.
• Mueller (3.01 GAA, .908 Sv. Pct.) has a four-game winning streak and is second in the league with 178 saves. Rosado has a 2.85 goals against average and an .888 save percentage in three starts.

SCOUTING THE EPHS
• Williams (1-1-0, 1-1-0 NESCAC) opened its season last weekend in Maine with a pair of conference games, a 3-2 overtime victory at Bowdoin and a 4-2 loss at Colby.
• Senior Jonah Gold score the OT game-winner for the Ephs against defending conference champion Bowdoin, as Williams rallied from down 2-0 with second-period goals by juniors Jack Sabre and Owen Stadheim. Gold and senior Jacob Monroe potted goals for the Ephs in the loss to Colby. Junior Cal Sandquist made 23 saves in the win over Bowdoin and added 20 stops vs. Colby.
• Gold (12-7-19) is the leading returning scorer from last year's team that went 9-16-2 overall and 5-11-2 in the NESCAC. Senior Sean Clark (4-9-13) and junior Nicholas Rashkovsky (6-6-12) are also top returning scorers and sophomore defenseman Connor Berg (1-9-10) tied for the team lead in assists.
• Sandquist (2.46 GAA, .896 sv. pct) is this year's starter after posting a 2.97 GAA and .890 save percentage in seven starts last winter.

SCOUTING THE MAMMOTHS
• Amherst (1-1-0, 0-1-0 NESCAC) heads into Saturday's home game against No. 5 SUNY Geneseo on the heels of an opening-weekend split, starting with a 3-0 conference setback Friday at Hamilton and ending with a 6-1 non-conference victory Saturday over Saint Michael's at Orr Rink in Amherst.
• Sophomore Zachary Murray and senior Ryan Tucker tallied two goals and two assists each in the win over St. Mike's. Kuzma and senior Quinton Fox chipped in with a goal and an assist each and first-year Zachary Jesse and senior Alton Machen collected two assists apiece for the Mammoths. Junior Connor Leslie needed to make just nine saves in goal to record the win after Wisco made 27 stops in the setback at Hamilton.
• Sophomore Josh Burke (7-11-18) led the team in scoring as a rookie last year and junior Matt Toporowski (11-6-17) was the leader in goals for a team that went 16-6-4 overall and 13-3-2 in the conference. Kuzma (8-7-15), senior Tyler Bourque (6-8-14), Fox (4-10-14), Murray (5-8-13) and junior Bobby Luca (3-9-12) were solid contributors for the Mammoths, who returns their top seven scorers from last year.
• Wisco (9-4-1, 2.02 GAA, .918 sv. pct) started 14 games last season while Leslie (3-1-1, 1.38 GAA, .936 sv. pct) got the nod in five games.

BABSON VS. THE NESCAC
• This weekend marks the second and third of three straight outings against schools from the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC).
• Including Tuesday's 1-1 tie with Tufts, the Green and White are 9-2-2 against the conference since the 2019-20 campaign, including 5-0-0 in 2021-22.

SKATING ON HOME ICE
• The Beavers are 2-0-2 this season at the Babson Skating Center, where they will play their next four games.
• The Green and White finished 9-3-1 at home in 2022-23 and have a 26-5-5 mark since the start of the Covid-shortened 2020-21 campaign.
• Babson is 52-15-7 on home ice since 2017-18 and 96-18-12 at home since February of 2013.

KRAMER EARNS NEHC HONOR
• Kramer picked up his second career NEHC Player of the Week honor on Monday, and his first since December of 2021.
• Babson's first-line center produced a pair of multi-goal games and scored five times in all with two goals in Friday's 5-4 overtime victory over Johnson & Wales and a hat trick in Saturday's 6-1 rout of UMass Boston.

A PEEK AT THE OFFENSE
• The Beavers' 30 goals this season have come from 14 different players, including three first-years scoring their first career goal.
• The sophomores have accounted for half of the goals while the seniors have combined for six goals, the juniors have scored five and four from the first-years.
• After scoring just five goals in the first three games, the Green and White erupted for 24 goals in their next five outings.

NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Green and White are 3-1 when leading after the first period and are 13-2-1 over the past two seasons when taking a lead into the second period.
• The Beavers are 3-1 this season when scoring the first goal of the game after finishing 15-2-1 last season when drawing first blood.
• Babson is 4-1-1 this year when scoring at least three goals and is 39-6-3 over the past three seasons with at least three goals.

• The Beavers will be at home again next weekend for a pair of New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) games against Castleton on Friday at 7 p.m. and No. 15 Skidmore on Saturday at 4 p.m.
