• Babson is 36-9-1 all-time against Southern Maine in a series that dates back to 1995.
• The Beavers have won 22 of their last 23 games against the Huskies over the last decade with the lone loss coming in the 2020 NEHC Tournament quarterfinals in Babson Park.
• The Green and White has won 11 of the last 12 encounters against USM inside the Babson Skating Center since 2012.

• Seniors Anton Jellvik and Carson Lanceleve each tallied their first goal of the season for PSU, junior Ethan Stuckless recorded a pair of assists and Jovan Zimmerman '23 added one helper. Brendahn Brawley '23 made a career-high 49 saves in goal in the loss.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (0-2-0, 0-0-0 NEHC) enters the weekend looking for its first victory of the season after suffering losses at the Milwaukee School of Engineering (4-1) and Lake Forest (4-0) in a season-opening trip to the Midwest last weekend.

Ryan Murphy scored the lone Beaver goal on a power play in the loss to MSOE, with assists from Kramer and Holland. Sophomore

Mason Rosado made his collegiate debut in goal for the Beavers and finished with 19 saves in the setback at Lake Forest.
• The Green and White have a group of 21 experienced veterans from last year's squad that finished 17-9-2, led by Kramer (10-15-25) who led the team in scoring and earned All-NEHC Second Team honors. Sophomore
Ryan Murphy (8-14-22) led all NEHC rookies in scoring and Dion (1-10-11) collected NEHC All-Rookie team accolades.
• Mueller is the only experienced goalie after making five starts last season, posting a 3-2 record with a 2.75 GAA and a .917 save percentage.
SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
• Southern Maine (1-0-0, 0-0-0 NEHC) opened its season with a 5-0 whitewash over Saint Anselm on Tuesday in Gorham, giving first-year head coach Matt Pinchevsky a victory in his USM debut.
• Judd finished with a goal and two assists to lead the Huskies and Marini added a goal and an assist in the win. First-year Matt Sullivan, Jiwa and junior Jeff Pollara also put goals on the board, and sophomore Jakub Suran chipped in with a pair of assists. Palmer made 17 saves in goal to record his first career shutout.
• Judd (15-10-25) and Marini (6-12-18) are the top returning forwards from last season, with Judd earning Second Team All-NEHC honors. Jiwa (3-7-10) and defensemen Cole Ouellette (2-11-13), Nolan McElhaney (5-7-12) and Kadin Ilott (3-8-11) are also back for the Huskies.
• USM is looking to improve on last season's 5-18-2 overall record and 4-14-0 mark in the NEHC.
SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
• No. 8 Plymouth State (1-0-0, 0-0-0 MASCAC) goes into its MASCAC opener at Worcester State on Thursday on the heels of an impressive 5-1 victory over No. 5 University of New England last Friday evening in Plymouth, N.H.

Will Redick potted his second career hat trick and senior
Kalle Andersson made 31 saves in the win over UNE. Sophomore Payton Schaly and UNE transfer Donte' DiPonio also scored for the Panthers, who lost to the Nor'easters in the NCAA Tournament first round the past two seasons.
• PSU breezed through MASCAC play last fall, going a perfect 18-0-0 in the regular season, sweeping through the MASCAC Tournament to win a conference-record fourth-straight tournament title before finishing with a 23-4-1 overall record.
• The Panthers started the season at No. 12 in the national Division III poll and moved up to No. 8 this week, the highest in program history.
JERSEYS FOR JAKE
• The Beavers will be wearing special jerseys in Friday's home opener in support of sophomore teammate Jake Thibeault.
• Thibeault suffered two broken vertebrae and was paralyzed in an on-ice collision in the fall of 2021.
• The jerseys worn on Friday will be raffled off with all proceeds going to Journey Forward in Canton, Mass., where Jake rehabs daily.

HOME ICE ADVANTAGE
• The Beavers finished 9-3-1 at the Babson Skating Center in 2022-23 and have a 24-5-3 since the start of the Covid-shortened 2020-21 campaign.
• Babson is 50-15-5 on home ice since 2017-18 and 94-18-10 at home since February of 2013.
PRESEASON POLLS
• The Beavers were picked to finish third when the NEHC preseason coaches' poll was released last week.
• USM was voted to finish ninth in the NEHC poll, while Plymouth State was voted to finish atop the MASCAC preseason poll.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Beavers went 15-2-1 last season when scoring the first goal of the game and finished 17-2-1 when scoring at least three goals.
• The Green and White were 10-1-1 when leading after the first period and 13-1-0 when ahead after two frames.
• Babson finished 16-3-1 when allowing two goals or less last year and is 76-3-7 since 2017-18 when allowing no more than two goals.
