SERIES HISTORY
•   Babson is 15-23 all-time against Smith in a series that dates back to 1987.Â

•   Babson (20-4, 7-1 NEWMAC) has dropped two straight matches and is coming off a 3-1 loss to Middlebury at the New England Challenge on Saturday.Â

•   Ackerman is handing out 6.93 assists per set, while Cabuena ranks third in the NEWMAC averaging 4.91 digs per set.Â
SCOUTING THE PIONEERS
•   Smith (15-9, 5-3 NEWMAC) is coming off a 3-2 win at Trinity on Saturday afternoon.Â
•   Mia Ethridge finished with 19 kills, Abby Sweeney added 13 kills and seven blocks and Hunt chipped in with 11 kills and 10 digs for the Pioneers, who hit .310 over the final two sets.
•   Hunt is averaging 2.72 kills and 2.45 digs per set, Sarah Dankovich is contributing 2.16 kills per set and Sweeney (2.14 k/s) is fourth on the team with 52 total blocks.Â
•   Meg Hopkins and Nathalie Pak have combined to hand out 9.95 assists per set, while Gabby Beckman is averaging a team-high 3.58 digs per set.Â
CONFERENCE RESET
•   The Beavers suffered their first NEWMAC loss the season last Tuesday at Clark and enter the final two weeks of the regular season tied for second place with 19th-ranked MIT at 7-1.Â
•   No. 25 Springfield sits in first place at 8-0, while Smith and Coast Guard are currently tied for fourth at 5-3.Â
•   Babson can secure a top-four seed and a home quarterfinal match with one more win and can secure at least a share of the league's regular season title with victories in its final three contests.Â
DIGGING IN
•   Since returning to the lineup on October 10, Cabuena has totaled 123 digs and is averaging 5.86 digs per set in six matches.Â
•   She achieved a new season high with 28 digs in last Friday's four-set win over Tufts and has registered 22 or more digs three times during this stretch.Â
NOTABLE
•   Gray averaged 3.58 kills per set in four matches last week and matched her career high with 18 kills in a four-set loss to Williams on Saturday.Â
•   Allen recorded a season-high 13 kills and McShane contributed a career-best seven blocks in the win over Tufts.Â
•   Leinenweber stepped out of her normal role as a defensive specialist to record a career highs of eight kills and two blocks against Middlebury.Â
NUMBERS TO KNOW
•   Prior to Saturday's loss to Middlebury, the Beavers had won 36 straight matches when taking the first set.Â
