Box Score WORCESTER, Mass.—Visiting Babson College was held to its second lowest hitting percentage of the season and had its 16-match winning streak halted in a three-set loss to Clark University (25-17, 25-18, 25-20) in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) women's volleyball action on Tuesday night inside Kneller Gymnasium.
Babson, which suffered its first loss since September 9, drops to 19-2 overall and 7-1 in league play, while Clark improves to 13-7 overall and 4-4 in the NEWMAC with its fourth consecutive victory.

Roz Cabuena (Kailua, Hawaii) totaled a match-high 14 digs in the loss.
Senior Sofia Scherrer del Llano (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico) paced a balanced attack with seven kills, while classmate Camille Flurry (Athens, Ga.) totaled six kills to pace the Cougars. Senior Victoria Pastor (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico) added five kills, eight digs and two aces, junior Yvanna Torres (San Juan, Puerto Rico) handed out 15 assists and sophomore Yumeng Liu (Beijing Shi, China) had 11 digs in the victory.
Clark never trailed in the opening set and took advantage of seven attack errors and four service errors by the Green and White. The hosts built a 14-7 lead on back-to-back kills by Pastor and Flurry and extended the margin to 20-12 thanks to kills by senior Sheyenne Williams (Bloomfield, N.J.) and Scherrer del Llano as part of a 5-1 run.
The Beavers took an 11-9 lead thanks to consecutive kills by Gray and Fouche in the second before the Cougars responded with six straight points to seize command of the frame. Pastor recorded an ace and graduate student Cameron Gill (Shrewsbury, Mass.) followed with a kill as Babson was unable to get any closer than two the rest of the way.
McShane provided two kills and a block to help the Green and White erase an early 5-1 deficit in the third only to see Clark respond three straight points to regain a 12-9 advantage. Back-to-back kills by Scherrer del Llano extended the margin to 16-11 and a service error and an ace by Scherrer del Llano gave the hosts their largest lead of the stanza at 18-12.
The Beavers scored six of the next nine points, including two kills by Gips and one apiece from Gray and sophomore
Isabella Allen (Williamsville, N.Y.) to get as close as 22-20 before the Cougars answered with three straight points to end the match.
Both teams return to action on Friday as Babson takes on Tufts to begin the New England Challenge at 7 p.m. in Williamstown, Mass., while Clark meets Trinity at 6 p.m.
