Martina Jankovic Chin '23 combined for 45 kills to help the second-seeded Beavers defeat seventh-seeded Clark in four sets (25-21, 20-25, 25-19, 25-22) in a NEWMAC Tournament quarterfinal on November 1, 2022, in Babson Park.Â
•   MacDonald and Jankovic Chin both finished with 16 blocks and five kills, McShane added 13 kills and
Izzy Seebold M'23 dished out 55 assists to go along with four blocks for the Beavers, who got at least 10 digs from four different players.Â
•   Victoria Pastor recorded 10 kills and Cameron Gill added eight kills, 10 digs and four blocks to lead the Cougars, who hit just .107 in the loss.Â
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
•   Babson (19-1, 7-0 NEWMAC) has won 16 consecutive matches and is coming off a 3-0 sweep of Salve Regina on Saturday.Â

SCOUTING THE COUGARS
•   Clark (12-7, 3-4 NEWMAC) has split its last four matches and is coming off a 3-1 victory over Wellesley on Saturday.Â
•   Camille Flurry finished with 15 kills and seven blocks, Sheyenne Williams had 12 kills and six blocks and Sofia Scherrer del Llano chipped in with 10 kills and 10 digs for the Cougars, who hit .436 over the final two sets.Â
•   Pastor is averaging 2.56 kills and 2.43 digs per set, Williams (2.48 k/s, 0.83 b/s) ranks third in the conference with 54 total blocks and Flurry is contributing 2.35 kills per set while hitting .226.Â
•   Yvanna Torres and Julia Dopazo have combined to hand out 10.45 assists per game Yumeng Liu is averaging a team-high 4.37 digs per set.Â
PLAYOFF PUSH
•   Entering the final three weeks of the regular season, the Beavers are tied atop the NEWMAC standings at 7-0 with Springfield, while MIT (6-1) and Smith (5-2) currently hold the third and fourth spots, respectively.Â
•   Following Tuesday's visit to Clark, which is currently tied for sixth place at 3-4, Babson will end the season with matches against Smith (October 24), MIT (November 1) and Springfield (November 4).Â
•   The top four seeds will earn home court advantage in the conference quarterfinals on November 7 and the highest remaining seed will host the semifinals and championship match on November 11-12.Â
STREAKING BEAVERS
•   Babson's 16-match winning streak is tied for the second longest in program history with last year's squad, which ran off 16 straight victories between September 3-October 8. The Beavers' school-record for consecutive wins is 22 set back in 2019.Â
•   The Green and White is tied with Lasell and Covenant for the fourth longest active streak in Division III entering the week behind only No. 1 Juniata (46 wins), No. 2 Wisconsin-Oshkosh (26) and the 17 consecutive victories by No. 11 Trinity (Texas).Â
TRENDS TO WATCH
•   Cabuena, who returned to the lineup after missing six matches last Tuesday against Simmons, had 42 digs and averaged 7.00 digs per set in a pair of wins last week.Â
•   Gips has recorded four or more total blocks in four consecutive matches and has at least one block in 14 straight contests going back to last year.Â
•   Stelter, who ranks fifth in the NEWMAC in aces per set (0.63) and is now ninth on Babson's all-time list with 136 career aces, has at least one in 14 of the last 15 matches.Â
•   McShane has recorded six or more kills in 16 of Babson's 20 matches this fall.Â
BEAVERS' BEST STARTS
•   In addition to winning 16 consecutive matches for the second year in a row, Babson matched the 2019 squad best start in program history at 19-1 through 20 matches.Â
•   The Green and White started 18-2 last season and has gone 16-4 over its first 20 contests four times (1992, 1993, 2018, 2021) going back to the early 1990s.Â
•   The Beavers also have won their first seven matches in NEWMAC play for just the third time in school history and can match last year's 8-0 start with a win on Tuesday night.Â
